Link to video Much more work was put into it now. When I first saw the tas first attempt, I can see improvements. Now I barely see any with the updated run. It's the 3rd attempt at all story missions

No vote. Reason being is the driving appears unoptimized and rushed. 3D driving games are the most difficult games to truly optimize, but still, improvements are clearly visible. If more effort was put into them, I'd change my mind to a Yes vote.

I haven't watched any of it yet, but I'm curios to know what this would look like without glitches. I just don't like runs that become predictable after a certain glitch is found..

I found a way to run bizhawk on android. I recommend using a keyboard or gamepad for comfort. It would be pretty uncomfortable to use with the all touch controls. First install winlator 6.0 open the app create container with default settings tap the 3 dots next to the container and Run start-system tools-wine mono installer start bizhawk Unfortunately. not everything works. What does work is: opening any non-waterbox core like mgba and mupen64. Record/play movie rewind gamepad(although if you have it connected before starting the program, it will crash) so connect it once bizhawk is open Hotkey config works Game controller config works Avi record works(it has to be uncompressed... nothing else works..) Syncless recording works though. Frame advance works. So yeah, somewhat limited. And much slower than on computer..

It says right in your op that input record, play and edit are features. That's basically a tas.

Did some testing around, and destroy all humans 1 and 2 work. So thats nice. Currently I cant find a complete playthrough of that anywhere. I dont know how to use the tas tools though..

What would it change?
The devs wouldn't need to sit in front of their computer all day waiting for a message. Unless they have some way to be notified. [edit] to add to that, I also wouldn't know if any issues was already reported. It would be hard to tell what changes were made. No pull requests can be done. Just to name a few.

https://nnp.nnchan.ru/ml/ MahoLator is a J2ME emulator for PC. It's based on MahoTrans - interpreter JVM written on C# completely from scratch. Custom JVM implementation allows cool things. MahoLator aims to provide:
  • No dependency on "conventional" java tools in your system
  • Built-in debugger and application state explorer
  • Taking/loading snapshots of application states
  • Input record, playback and edit
  • "Strict" mode with 100% accuracy and reproducibility
Project is in beta state. Performance and compatibility is work in progress. Expect things to break. Please, report found issues to our chat.
Would be nice if there was a github page for that..

Since nobody has bothered to try a tas of this, I've decided to do it myself. https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638255072197318743 I'll upload a youtube encode in the morning. Encode: Link to video

I believe midnight club 2 pc is single threaded given how old it is. I would assume single threaded games would work better with this? This sounds too good to be true if this works out.

I'm thinking about helping with getting other systems emulated by mame supported. I have programming experience with .net although I have not done anything with it since like 2012. What goes into doing something like that?

There is an improvement that can be made: push C3PO with a faster character. C3PO moves slow, but you can push him. Its a tas-only trick and its not as hard as it looks. But it can be hard to set up fast.

Cool joke. I didn't know there exist a flash game of uncharted 2. Unlike most other April fool jokes, this one wouldn't be rejected. I enjoyed the run. Makes me more curious about other flash games.

Are you interested in doing a no save corruption tas? I attempted one before this glitch was discovered, and movement was pretty hard to optimize. I just tried to avoid hitting walls. And some of the mini games were entertaining to watch.

I tried to sync it myself and it desynced after like 53 minutes.. I had 400% speed on though which might be to blame?

*bump* and many other beta releases have been made. The latest one has a 50 percent performance boost from ubershaders(if I'm not mistaken).

It maybe because steamOS isn't supported yet.
