How come the area around the core was so clear? All the times I played the game you have to clear through hundreds and hundreds of bricks

I don't usually find a new run that shaves a second or two off another run to be that interesting to watch but this was fantastic.

Oh man, I remember this is one of the games I "programmed" when I was a kid. The company didn't release this on a disk or cartridge. They sent you a book that told you how to code the game yourself. But the coding was just you meticulously typing in numbers with no idea what anything did. Then finally you were finished and ran it and this was the game you got.

Whoops. I'm super late to this. Anyway, I don't really see any benefit to playing at higher skill levels. The only difference between levels is how many enemies you have to kill. It just makes it artificially longer for a TAS.

Does anyone have a save state or save file near the end of the game? I have an experiment I'd like to do and it would save me a lot of time. :)

You certainly didn't sacrifice entertainment for time.

For the first boss, can't you interrupt his long attack animation by hitting him with an apple? I seem to remember you being able to do that in the SNES port

I find often when there are frame wars over a game like this you watch just to see where the minor improvements are. In this case, I was completely enthralled. Not only did Sniq beat it significantly faster, but was constantly doing amazing stunts. My jaw dropped multiple times. Even the simplicity of freezing and using a Mochtroid as a platform in midair was so smoothly done I had to audibly say "Nice!" This was thoroughly entertaining. And with the exception of Kraid, it was done in reverse boss order too! I can't Yes hard enough. I seriously cannot fathom the comments that this is not entertaining.

You know, I did submit a pure speed TAS before my playaround version. http://tasvideos.org/2131S.html My time was 3:44.22. Your "better" one is 5:22.29 Some finer points: You didn't luck manipulate to get less answers on the board or to get shorter ones. Letter input is nowhere near optimized. You don't remove unnecessary letters to save speed. What was the point of this?

No vote due to language. I will make another one that is better and match the answer.
Any progress on this? :)

It was kind of repetitive. I feel like this game would be better as a playaround.

Wow, I actually reviewed this on my YouTube channel. I didn't expect anyone had actually heard of it.

Why is this played at PAL speed? It's really slow and more boring this way, plus NTSC is the speed it was designed for.

The final boss is really tedious, but everything else is really fun to watch. That moonkick cracks me up a lot. Yes vote :)
