I've recently become interested in making TAS videos and the like, and I've been experimenting with quite a few things. I would really like to be able to create AVI files from my recorded movies (.gmv and the like) with the main focus being small file size so they're easy to upload and share, but I'm not knowledgeable in this area, or anything regarding audio and video recording/compression. If someone could give me a link at a detailed guide on what to use to make good small AVI files, or better yet take a few minutes to try and explain it to me themselves, I would greatly appreciate it! I've been messing with it myself and I tend to only get very large files (77 megs for 2 minutes worth) and I'm not quite sure where to look to improve this.
If it means anything, the main thing I want to be able to make vids out of is my .gmv's, and I'm using GENS at the moment, so specific help using that emu would be welcome.
