It's faster than Pom's movie but if your first thoughts was this movie aimed to obsolete POM's movie, then you are wrong. Yes, it's faster but another ROM version is used.
We've heard many rumors about Minus world -1 could be beaten and that Worlds -2, -3 and -4 exist. But in NES and Unisystem versions, the level is repeating when you enter the pipe at "end" of level. We've seen hoaxes like that but nothing proved us it was true. Except - 4, -2 and -3 really exist. After you beat -3, the game has been beaten once. Some people are claiming that you must deliver the princess to beat the game. I am saying, I saved 2 princesses. In any case, I think I should compare it to some Zelda glitched runs where some goals hasn't been achieved.
Note that when you beat the game, level select and 2nd quest modes are activated. So, I purposely stop the movie later to press B to return to title screen to let people verify by themself.

adelikat: Accepting for publication.
Bisqwit: … as a concept demo. This will not obsolete Pom's movie, not the least because it's a different game with different rules. (The differences in the games (NES SMB1, FDS SMB1) are completely unintentional and driven by the platform change, but striking in this particular movie.)
Bisqwit: Processing.

First of all, I voted yes. And you know what? If this game beats it so quickly, you probably have enough time to go into 8-4 with level select, win, and STILL obsolete the published run. Legit, right?
Hahahahahaha, I really like that idea, actually. That'll shut everyone the !@#$ up
Yes, I really thought about that before submitting the run but it is probably slower. Anyway, the version is different and it won't obsolete Pom's run.

Clearly there is no debate that this movie should be published and clearly no one other than Phil thinks it should obsolete Pom's movie (sorry dude, but they are just too different).
OMG!! This time, I think it's your turn that must read submission text. Stop accusing me. It's you who started the "Is this movie should obsolete Pom's movie?" debate.

I did read you submission text when you submitted. You said "Faster than Pom's" which would imply you were intending to obsolete. I can't be responsible for not reading submission text that you add later. :p

Adelikat: i said that it wouldn't bother me if this run obsoleted Poms. But it would bother me if it was put into concept demos. Aren't they? What the hell is a concept demo? Hacked game? Starting from SRAM? A really short game? A run that isn't "normal"? A run that sucks but for some reason is published anyway? A way to publish four different movies of the same game without someone complaining? Accomplishing something that nobody accomplished before? an answer! I think this could have been said alot nicer than this. Completely uncalled for.

Thanks moderator. Let me know if there's a definition for concept demo floating around that I'm not aware of.

When I heard "concept demo", I thought they were talking about hacked or homebrew roms.

No doubt. It's almost as if I'm annoyed that all this bickering could be solved by Bisqwit addressing what a concept demo is, but instead he doesn't, so then I make posts that continue to point out this issue, which causes you to think you're a moderator that needs to tell me how to behave. WEIRD.

Yeah! Let's vote for Bag Of Magic Food to become a moderator! Only he can stop this anarchy...

WOW. Let me walk you through the point of that post. NONE of those examples should be concept demos. I listed them because they are all things some people have said at one point or another as what they believe concept demos to be. Confusion that has been caused because Bisqwit hasn't addressed the issue. By listing these things, I was attempting to draw attention to the fact that since there is no agreed definition, people will start making it fit whatever the hell they want, and claim that certain movies should go into this category. If I can clear anything else up, let me know. And if there is anything else you think you should scold me for, feel free to waste your time doing that, thanks.

JXQ, it is OK to pitch ideas of how a concept demo could (or should) be defined, but saying it the way you did will cause Bisqwit to ignore you completely.

Concept demos/Other hmmm when it was Hacked games/concept demo, all was clear but now.... Anyway, for me, concept demo is demo. I don't know why the word "concept" is used because it's vague and confusing. From dictionary definition, all movies on this site are concept demos or aren't. Imo, it should be Hacked games/Demos/Other.

I don't see how this is any more of a demo than the ALttP glitch run ...

This movie doesn't have to be a "concept demo". Regardless, we should make a new category called "Uses warps²". Either that or label Pom's movie "best ending".

I think that "Concept demos/Other" section really means "movies that would not normally be published on this site but have been granted an exception." Unlike the ALttP glitch run, this run doesn't reach an ending screen, which could be enough to qualify it as something that would not normally be published (although it reaches the screen that is supposed to come after the ending screen, so maybe that's close enough).
