3-5 with $7E/69DC trick: I wish someone made a hole-in-one movie. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2252/3-5-wd-wq1.smv http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2253/3-5-wd-wq2.smv "Shot on the Water" demo hole is very useful to adjust $7E/69DC.

Crap... I knew this would happen if I sat on my run long enough. Time to whip my WIP out. Here's what I had done. I can almost guarantee this run is longer but I bet I did some holes faster too. Specifically 6-3 in two shots. I was under the impression however that one DIDN'T want to take ANY hole-in-ones due to the celebration adding unnecessary frames. Thusly, my strategy involves many a minimum of 2 shots; sometimes burning shots off and frequently stopping right in front of a hole (which I believe is the inferior choice of the two) Maybe all of this was covered in discussion, I will review that as well, I just wanted to post this sooner rather than later if it would help any. I have not yet seen the run done here, I'm going to take a look at it now. More commentary to come. (Amazing work with the 8-1 hole in one... nothing quite that good in my run)

As you know, my goal is same as Tilus' (shoot for lowest score, then go as fast as possible). So I cannot use many strategies you used, but I might get some hints of making my WIP faster. Thank you, Less Ashamed Of Self. I am wondering if I should keep Fireball skill in hole 6-2.

I think that run like this shouldn't aim for speed.

Well the thing is... there are some shots where, I'm 99% sure, a hole in one can never be possible. Mind you; I probably would've said 8-1 was one of those holes yesterday.

Not to say your work is of lower quality, but frankly, I find gocha's videos much more entertaining. I got mad every time I saw you stop right before the hole...

It dawned on me afterwards that burning the shot off at the beginning is not only more likely to take less frames, but will also make more hole-in-one-y shots more entertaining. Regardless, the fact remains (I believe) that a hole-in-one shot DOES take longer in frames than 2 shots. I remember it being about 23 frames each time. What I wouldn't mind doing, if it's ok with gocha, is using his finished product as a template for a faster version without any hole-in-ones. Time will tell; in the meantime however, I should really go on one of my other projects. This one's pretty stale for me I'm afraid. :S I had a lot of fun making it though, I guess that's what counts.

Less Ashamed Of Self, I hope you realise that speed is not the primary goal in this run.

why did you stop right before the hole on the first hole? btw, you can bounce off walls too by pressing the button.

I know... it is obvious. Also, FODA... see some of my posts above, it is my strategy throughout to do it in more than one shot. It is possible that you desynched. :P

If you use gameshark to cheat and get a low score of 6 on every course, your score of eight hole in ones wouldnt rank and the dance animations would be gone. Or even just doing 5 hole in one runs for every course then doing the hole in 2 runs for even faster results. In short 1. Use game shark and get a high score card of 6's for max. 2. Do the Hole in two/one runs. OR 1. Do 5 Hole in one runs on every course. 2. Do the Hole in two runs.

Very tiny thing, but I want to ask. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2411/kdc-title-raw.smv http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2412/kdc-title-reset.smv Which should I use? Reset version is looking faster a bit than non-reset version. (Of course they were recorded by snes9x-improvement with reset recording)

Played all holes. Now you can see my sloppy Kirby's Dream Course Run (segmented). Enjoy :P By the way, which course should I choose Normal or Extra when fight with Dedede? If I choose extra, then his damage will be half (see $87/8791. by the way, I am not sure about the branch at $86/FE14). In my opinion, fighting with extra dedede is just boring... Or, I do not need even to fight with him? :P I wonder when I should submit my run. Should I submit it soon? (Though I guess most voters say no and it will be rejected) (´・ω・`) Anyway... I should optimize it harder. If you told me nice strategy, I would be happy :) P.S. I wish I could write smart English :(

Is there any possibilities to have just one .smv which has the whole run in it?

If dedede is optional, i don't see why you need to fight him at all.

Manual labor! I tried to combine them by a simple script but it failed. So, I will combine them by hand using emulator, hex-editor and my smv2csv tool.

We need to defeat him to see end credits...! That's all ('A`)

Then afterwards seems more appropriate.

I sure hope the hex-editing works. If not, I hope you can put together a full run anyway!

OK. I will modify all movies to make tool-assisted connection easier. I hope I will put a full-run movie regardless of submitting.

Hey Gocha, that memory watching tool of yours is really handy! Now I don't have to re-input the values I want to watch each time I open SNES9x! Yahoo!! Is the color scheme or font size changeable? My eyes are bad... o_o

You can change font color. Open s9xwatch.ini (press enter key) and modify colbg/colplain/coladdr/colformat/colvalue/coldesc value. (In fact, even I think that it is hard to use this tool with default color setting. I should modify them) Currently, you cannot change font size. I will probably implement such option.

I developed/updated/released 3 tools. Snes9x memory watcher (rev.5, added fontsize option), smv2csv and smvcat. Here they are: gocha's TAS Labo: SNES Tools I am glad that JXQ who is one of my favorite players appreciates my tool :)
