My original idea was to do a 100% run of GTA. But because there still isn't a rerecording function for a Playstation emulator, I chose to do this run on the Game Boy Color. Now while TASing a bit around with the game, I noticed that many missions are full of bugs (missing arrows, missing vehicles, missing people, people walking through walls, arrow pointing to wrong directions et cetera). So a 100% run wouldn't be possible, which already discards my original idea - because then the fastest thing would be to get all multiplicators and just finish the shortest mission of all to leave a city. I nonetheless recorded a TAS that goes from start to the last city (with death abuse to skip missions and half-made missions, not really that great - and because of the empty streets I couldn't even dodge cars often enough). But after getting enough money (or so it seems) in Vice City Part 2 the arrow points to a place in the city where there is nothing which would end the game. I wonder if this game was even tested by the developers? Most missions can't be completed and when the game cannot be completed, too, it is very strange. Well, here is the TAS - it's not directly WIP anymore because I won't bother any longer with this bugfilled game. I just wanted to show what I've done to at least somebody. Grand Theft Auto (U) [C][!]: 57 min 33 sec Maybe it is of some use (or most likely not - except for wasting an hour watching a car driving through empty streets).

I can't think how a game that can't be completed can make a very good game never mind TAS. However, maybe you're reading into it wrong. It might just be really glitchy, therfore there is great promise for a TAS as many parts could be skipable .

If this doesn't work out, you can always try to do a run of the GTA game on the GBA. Kinda like GTA3 on the GBA in the style of the first games IIRC.

yep, that was my next idea. Or to be exact I am still undecided if I should take GTA 2 on the Game Boy Color (I think that conversion is far better - at least it has more lively streets in it, I don't know if the missions are errorfree) or GTA Advance. I might try GTA 2 - I just hope its missions are without errors, the same development team made this game. To Bag of Magic Food: I looked at the walkthroughs at GameFAQs, but both for this game only tell about Liberty City and even they say something about an unfinishable mission. I might know the reason why no walkthrough for the other two cities exists, because nearly all of San Andreas' (second city) missions were uncompletable due to errors/bugs.
