Doesn't it take longer to get the bomb bag then waiting for Zora to move?
We're also skipping the Silver Gauntlets. The bomb flowers in King Dodongo's chamber cannot be picked up without a strength upgrade.
So, getting the bomb bag takes something around 2'. Getting the Silver Gauntlets (beginning from the bombchu room in Spirit) takes nearly 4'. We also save 30" from skipping Bombchu Bowling.

but but but this is what I'm thinking : I think that ok you skip the sliver gauntlets ok I understand that, then you have bombchus then you get into dongo's cavern with the bombchu but why do you need to get the bomb bag ? just to skip zora? You just use bombchu's to kill the boss. You save more and more time skipping everything else. THen you get the bomb upgrade from the store then go back in time. YOur way you are saying you have to get slingshot, have to get bombbag just to skip a freakin zora. This doesnt save time.
Negative. That can't be done. You could try to get sword glitch and use the slingshot and hover to get high enough to feed him one... that is a viable option for a TAS but it's still probably slower. AND you need to have bombs if you want to do Ganon's Tower Early (Hover Superslide) which means you have to get them if you want to do the Light Arrow B thing since you don't have a sword for bomb hover, and you don't have the medallions to make the cutscene appear for the bridge.

Hover superslide can be done with Mr. Megaton hammer? Or would that seriously fuck up our route, and waste an incredible amount of time?
humbly requesting .m64's so that others like myself can make smaller, better quality x264 files (they wouldn't look as good during still frames but they would not macroblock all movement, and I can't imagine why your avi has so many dropped frames. 43MB is quite big for under 3 minutes of n64 play; an x264 would be under 6MB).
That said, crazy improvement!

To Run From Mupen:
Okay, to play this right click on the rom in Mupen, then go to Rom properties. Then the only change is the video plug-in, select glN64 v0.4.1. After that, click RP Save Plug-ins and then click Okay. Then it should work!

Now that I am in the Deku Tree, I will need some thinking. Is skipping the slingshot worth it? What all do I need it for? If it is skipped, how many seconds will it ~save?

You can do the moat blocks a bit quick if you side hop, also was the hop into the water neccessary when meeting Mido that section could be done with a side hop and a backflip as oppossed to the water but an incredible improvent. Although that wasn't the best way to dispose the deku babas I guess it makes no real difference since you have to wait for one of them to drop a stick in the first place.

The slingshot is not worth skipping since its needed to do the bomb hover in Dondongo's in order to get the bomb bag. Even if it was skipped it wouldn't save you any more than 30 seconds throughout the entire duration of the game.

If you skip the slingshot, how will you hit that "switch" behind the "glass wall" inside Jabu Jabu? (I think it's there) I think you don't have the boomerang by that time.
Oh, and remember that you can do that "endless sword" in that web in the floor (maybe in that chest too) and then climb the wall, hitting the spiders with your body.

i tired the mupen m64 5 times - i did change the video plug but it allways desynchs while you are pressing away the dialoges with A AB AB B B A BA .. and so on.. :/
edit:problem solved, just switched back to the old plugin works fine now
edit:2 i shouldnt edit my post while the movie is running .. with the old plugin it desynchs later when you leave your room :/ tried 3 times and now i dont have any solutions
ps: the new video plugin causes some soundbugs too

This happens for me too, did exactly what GuanoBowl told us to do.
When I'm using that new input Guano said he was using, the game runs extremely slow. :(
Edit: I guess I'll be sticking with the .avi's this time around.

*Hits head pretty hard on the monitor* Thanks a lot Anubis :) I totally forgot about that because I had it (Raw Data) enabled for Guanos first run, it worked smoothly now when I disabled it. About the run, dialogue skipping and aggressiveness, I like that :) Now this is beginning be a star-material, keep it up and Im sure it will get one!

Uh oh... glN64 works the first time I load a game, but if I load a game again, I get the error "Win32 exception 0xC0000005 occured in glN64". And I can only watch a movie on the second game load, because I have to load the game once to get the movie playback option, and then movie playback reloads the game!
