I was working on my abadox tas when i went to watch it i accidentally clicked record instead of play. realizing i just lost it, and not wanting to go to the backup and lose all the work i just did, i used a save state to restore everything but it reset my re-record count to 7 is this a big deal? is there a way to restore it? or should i just redo the level that i was working on?

Rerecord count is just a little function to let everyone know how much effort (if you will) is put into a run. The higher the rerecord count usually means there were more attempts at optimizing, manipulating, or whatever the game. Having it reset is no matter, as long as the run looks good, we won't say anything. :)

What Vidar said. However it may mess up the statistics a little, as Bisqwit's software is keeping track of them: [1], [2]. But I'm sure it can be settled without much hassle.

If you remember what the number was, you could try to edit it back into the file.
