When you are playing a movie on SNES9x midified by your team, you can see frame count if you want. What about a re-recording count ? Not like XXX/Total like the Frame but just like XXX ? It will be interresting for the viewer of the run, for to see waht was hard for the TASer even if doesn't take in consideration slow speed ?

seeing the re-record count go way up in a section doesn't ncessarily indicate that that section was particularly hard. It could be a result of testing different routes, finding new optimizations, or that he just messed up the movie a lot and had to redo it from that point. I'm not sure that a displayed re-record counter is a very useful feature

Implementing this would mean recreating the whole movie file format, because we'd have to include something that says "HERE was a re-record" between keypresses. Plus, I don't think it would be that useful.
