Hey guys, do any of you know if the SMB1 Crazy God Techniques video is 100% legit? I know that most of the things he does are possible, but there are a couple of things I'm not sure of. The biggest one of them is swimming through the firebars in the last castle. And jumping through the bricks on 8-2 without breaking them. Does anyone know who made that video and if they've done any others? I can't find anything about it with google. Oh, I guess since I'm already here... when you guys do the wall jump in mario, how many tries does it take you on average? Can you do them consistantly on a real nes? Is there any special technique to make it any easier?

I believe the video that you are referring to uses game genie codes. We might be talking about different ones though

I'm not sure which is the Crazy God Technique movie, but if it's the same as the Super Baka Technique movie, then it doesn't use Game Genie codes, it was made using Famtasia. There's also another tricks video that's much cooler than the Super Baka Technique that was also made with Famtasia, but I don't know what it's called.

Does anybody have a link to these movies? I've been wanting to watch them for a while but I can't find them.

Ok, just wait a few minutes and I'll upload them to a geocities site. Edit: Ok, here's the site: http://www.geocities.com/speedvids/ Download the file called smb.zip. Edit: Btw, the really cool tricks video I was talking about is the file called super mario bros 1 special technique (end at 8-1) (11'34).fmv. Also, you'll need some other rom for the super baka technique, but I don't know what the official name of the rom is since it wasn't named correctly in the place where I got it from, so you'll probably have trouble finding it. However, I think all the other fmvs work with Super Mario Bros. (JU) (PRG0) [!].

I think he's talking about this one: http://www.phauna.org/~ogunden/fun/Crazygodtechnique.avi Found on Arc's site in the "Aesthetic Forms" area.

You can see near the end of the movie that the jump at the end was played on Nesticle, but otherwise it is the same as the Super Baka technique.

Wow, you guys are fast. I make something to eat, watch half of a movie and there's a million replys, hehe. I tried watching the link that Locke put, but it never started playing. I checked the file size and it's the same as the one I have, so I assume it's the same one. Arc - I noticed the Nesticle thing too. I didn't even know Nesticle could do movies. I haven't been able to get any of the .fmv files Michael posted to play, so I can't tell if we're talking about the same video. I've tried the Super Mario Bros. (JU) (PRG0). ROM but it doesn't work. I'm going to go try to find Super Mario Bros. (JU) (PRG0) [!]. now and that will hopefully be better. Michael - I'm really curious, since you seem to be the big Mario guy (Having all of the record times), are you able to wall jump consistantly on a nes?

I used Super_Mario_Bros_(PRG_1)_(JU).nes and they all worked fine for me, except for the one Micheal mentioned earier that doesn't work.

I think I know why they're not working for me. I went and tried to play the roms, and for some reason, the input doesn't work on any mario1 rom I have. I tried mario3 and it was fine. I don't know what the problem is. I've used these roms before.
