Crap, you need two? Why didn't your Bombchu counter decrease?! Cheats? 1. Spirit Temple - Let light in on second floor 2. Jabu-Jabu - Damage boost to boss antechamber 3. Jabu-Jabu - Damage boost to boss antechamber 4. Hyrule Castle - Skip over moat 5. Lost Woods - Open warp to Goron City 6. Dodongo's Cavern - Light right eye 7. Dodongo's Cavern - Light left eye 8. Dodongo's Cavern - Open boss chamber 9. Death Mountain Trail - Remove boulder 10. Death Mountain Trail - Remove boulder 11. Bottom of the Well - Blow open crack for more Bombchus -- NOT ENOUGH Possible solutions: 1. Do Bottom of Well early (before or after Hyrule Castle) 2. Don't do miniboss skip in Jabu 3. Don't skip across moat in Hyrule Castle 4. Enter Goron City another way

The sollution is simple MWL, since this is a TAS you can do bomchu bowling which would be faster than going into the well anyway.

O RLY? I thought the well was faster than BB if executed correctly. But you're the expert. If BB is really faster, do BB.

I don't know for sure I was just saying, but bombchu bowling is surely faster. I remember coming up with the theory that the gap in Jabu could be overcome with a roll jump and then pulling out the chu and yada yada yada... I've never been able to perfectly pull it off, but I have been very close to doing it.

Roll-jump gives exactly the same distance as a bomb-boosted jump. The only difference is that the bomb damages you so that the bombchu explosion wont damage you until you're at the late stage of the jumpslash. If you do it with a roll jump, the bombchu will damage you as soon as you let go of it.

Didn't we determine that you need the bomb bag before bombchu bowling opens? I'm pretty sure that that was the conclusion reached in the SDA topic.

I must be forgetting something, but why do you need to do that? Getting the Silver Gauntlets automatically gives you the ability to pick up bombs, right? EDIT: With DeHackEd's help, I was able to make an AVI file of the WIP on page 14 (gets the silver gauntlets). I hope to be able to upload it late tomorrow or sometime on Friday, since it's about 90 MiB and I'm currently on dial-up.

You're coming from the opposite side, the side with no bomb-flowers.

You're going from the Lost Woods into Goron City, not the other way around. There are no bomb flowers which you can light to blow up the rocks.

No. All you need is the Goron's Ruby.

I am aware of the direction. Why do you need to go to Goron City at all, though?

*Sigh* It's the fastest way to Dodongo's Cavern. You'd want to avoid going through the main gate to DM Trail, as the guard dialogue takes quite some time.

C-button Assignments

C-Left..........C-Down..........C-Right

Segment 2 start:
Bombchu x9......Slingshot.......Deku stick x2

After getting bottle / Before getting boomerang:
Bombchu x9......Slingshot.......Empty Bottle

After getting boomerang / Before Jabu-Jabu boss:
Bombchu x9......Boomerang.......Deku stick x2

After Jabu-Jabu boss / Before catching fish:
Bombchu x7......Empty Bottle....Deku stick x1

After catching fish / Before entering Dodongo's Cavern:
Bombchu x7......Bottle w/fish...Deku stick x1

After Dodongo's Cavern / Before Temple of Time:
Bombchu x2......Empty Bottle....Deku stick x0

After entering Temple of Time:
Bombchu x10.....Empty Bottle....Ocarina of Time
* How Bombchus should be rationed is shown ten posts above this one. * One Deku stick should be spent on each boss (use a stick during the first battle cycle against King Dodongo, and a crouching stab during the second.) * 30 Rupees need to be gathered for Bombchu Bowling. The best time for this would have been back in Spirit (upon killing the Anubis), but it's too late to head back now. I can think of the 20 Rupees from the castle drawbridge off the top of my head right now. The projected final inventory screen (item counts are off but you get the idea):

mwl, just use preview until you get what you want. Or if you have to go in and add a bunch of stuff afterwards, just use minor edit. A message is broadcast in #nesvideos every time you edit something, which means every time you make a post, we get told about it seven (7!) times. I think you set a new record for that one. Moral of the story is just use minor edit, mmkay?

Holy... It's certainly going to be an interesting movie when you've finished the game with over half your inventory missing. Minor EDIT: Are the quotes not working properly tonight?

My guess is it has something to do with the domain change. I don't know why that should make any difference at all, but it seems BBCode is disabled on all posts because of it.

It was me who effectivley discovered that was possible. The only thing that maybe coud be skipped is slingshot, but that would then require us to get the bombs so we could ground just because I proved on emu that its simply not possible to bombchu of bomb jump to the other side in the tree. It's very unlikely that the slingshot will be skipped unless someone finds a way to leave Kokiri early.

mmmmmkay... Little bit of a thinker. What would the fastest way (in the boomerang room) to kill the 4 flying enemies? It takes 2 slingshot rounds or 1 good jump slash with sword. Any suggestions?

Jumpslashes nuff said, but you should try and get some of them to rise by walking over them during jump slashes.

You can use a Deku Nut to bring them all up at once, but afaik you have no deku nuts, so just walk over them and use jump slashes.

Im trying a lot of things. If you want to try an idea. I can send the m64 and save state file where you are about to start moving in the room EDIT: NVM. I found a good method. It most likely could be improved but Im not a good judge on that.

Okay, guys, here's an AVI of the WIP up through getting the Silver Gauntlets (and then desynching :( ). I recommend watching it with VLC, as the audio and video will be horribly out of synch otherwise. I think that the encoding process made them somewhat out of synch even in VLC, but it's nowhere near as bad as what I experienced in WMP.

VLC is the best media player out there anyway.
What's a man like me supposed to do with all this extra savoir-faire?

Which codec does it use?
