i need to change some buttons pressed at the beggining of the movie to improve it , everything else is ok. the problem is.... Fmv files just support two players, and this movie has 4 players. i tried to edit the fcm file, but it seems almost impossible to understand. is there any other way to edit some values without converting the file to FMV? or maybe some guide to undestand how the FCM files work? i hope there is.

For the purpose of 4-player movie editing, I added 4-player FMV file support in Nesmock. Those files won't be played back properly by Famtasia, but they can be used for hex-editing. Movies with less than 3 players are not affected. New version 1.5.1 was released.

There is a guide to understanding the FCM file format: http://tasvideos.org/FCM.html It is generally not something you want to be editing, which is why files are almost always converted to FMV before editing. Perhaps Nesmock could be updated to support conversion to 4-player pseudo-FMV. As contrieved that sounds, it almost seems like the easiest method. ---- EDIT: Hehe, telepathy. My thoughts are his law.

I think it meant that there's no win32 executable right now.

If you need to do something very simple, hex-editing an FCM file is reasonable, but you will need to be good at reading hex. I would be happy to help you out there. Otherwise you will have to compile NESmock or wait for someone to compile it for you. I suppose I could probably do that... [rant] I can't believe the FCM movie format, FMV is so much more natural. It's run-length encoded, to help compress the movie file. But, why? There's already an uncompressed save state in the movie file. And FCEU already has zlib in it, why not just write the movie file in zip format and save a ton of space?
