ePSXe is only good for running BoF3 for me right now. Couldn't not get passed Disc 1 of FF9, cause it kept freezing while Dagger, ZIdane, and Vivi were boarding the airship after defeating the second Black Waltz. ;3 Oh well. ;3

That's a problem I encountered as well. I believe I got around that by switching to another graphic plugin or whatever it's called.

Well, got the PSX Emulator working. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with ISOs or have Controller Support as far as I know.
You can mount the ISOs with Daemon Tools or similar, and load from CD Drive. And my Gravis Gamepad Pro is working fine, although the gamepad itself sucks because it does diagonals way too easily. I also tried the Misadventures of Tron Bonne. It works somewhat, but it seems to have trouble playing some cutscenes randomly, and freezes.

I find all PSX emu's ive tried about equally good. epsxe plays about 90% of games for me. (some need v1.5.2) The rest usually works in psxeven. I find it's more about the plugins and less about the emulators in the case of psx emu's.

I decided to stick to playing FF9 on my PS2, seeing as how switching Video Plug-Ins didn't work. The PSX Emulators do not have Controller support as of yet, so I won't be using them for a while. ;3 But, I don't mind playing on my PS2 for a while.

These emulators have controller support. Maybe you should try another input plugin. Segu Direct Input Joystick Driver works perfectly with my SNES controller. (I use PSXPad Device Driver to use it on the PC)

I just downloaded Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2 last night, finished downloading after I got out of bed, hehe. Working on downloading King's Field, hehe. But, I never saw any controller support function on the PSX emulator I downloaded. I'm not too worried about it though. I'm fairly happy with the ePSXe emulator. ;3

PhenixDown on Topic! I've been wondering about this. Is there no PSX emu out there with OpenSource? If not, would it bee possible to create a Plug-In (most PSX emus support Plug-Ins) that gives you the possabilaty too record and play TASes. I just have to try a SOTN run...

A PSX Emulator with Re-Recording would be my dream. I'd faint from happiness.

Hi, I myself had wonderful experiences with pSX emulator: The think works (mostly) flawlessly and it's really fast. Playing a game (I tried the whole bunch of Squaresoft RPGs) was quite like playing them on the original console. No fiddling with strange plugin settings, no graphic glitches, no stuttering sound: It just works. Rerecording (and linux support for you encoding guys) would be the greatest thing to have on this emulator. Philip
