Well, now that I have a working PS1 Emulator, might as well search for some working Roms, hehe. ;3 Sooner or later, we'll be able to have PS1 runs! EDIT: Spoke too soon. That Emulator won't even work for some reason. Keeps asking for a Video Plug-In, and doesn't provide one. And it's asking for a BIOs which it doesn't have. Seems to me the people making it would be kind enough to supply this stuff...

For plugins, I usually find http://www.ngemu.com to work, you might have to search for a bios though.

Well, none of the Plugins will download, so...

They work fine, I was able to download. The download button is the picture of floppy disk. I recommend Pete's GPU Plugins for the graphic and Eternal SPU for the sound. http://www.ngemu.com/download.php?action=plugin&id=1 download for Pete's GPU Plugins http://www.ngemu.com/download.php?action=plugin&id=2 download for Eternal SPU For bio, you will need to search. Find out what your emulator says which bio version is best for the emulator. Best bio version for ePSXe is 7502, I don't know what about pSX tho. You sure that you need plugins and bio for pSX? They claim it doesn't need plugins and bio.

Yes, very sure. It didn't come with any Video Plug-Ins, and it does need a BIOS. I don't know how to look for one though. Guess I will have to try though. ;3 EDIT: That was easy, found it right off the bat, hehe. Guess I will re-dowbnload epsxe now. ;3

The only files you need for pSX is d3dx9_26.dll (only in some occations), and SCPH1001.bin bios. Works like a charm. More or less.

I'm using ePSXe. I downloaded Breath of Fire 3 for it last night. Been playing it today now, heh. It's a lot of run, and runs really well. Now I just need more roms, if I can find them. They are harder to find than a lost sock.

You could always just buy the games. With the magic of easily readable media you can emulate the console without pirating the software you run. I know it's really a strange concept for you.
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

What I want to do, is rip Final Fantasy 9 from my CDs. The CDs are in rather bad shape and won't run well on my PS2.. Guess that's what I get for buying the game used from BlockBuster Video.. -.- Well, going to see if I can get my Brother's help with that soon..

This is the first playstation emulator I've had any real luck using, and it seems to be working great! The two games I've tried on it are Symphony of the Night and Chrono Cross, both being my first time playing the games. (well, i have played the saturn version of castlevania...) Unfortunately it seems theres no way to do high-res polygon rendering, removing some of the benefits of emulation in the first place. And bilinear filtering looks pretty bad, so I'm stuck with the pixelly look for now. P.S. it's up to 1.4 now.
I like my "thank you"s in monetary form.

No offense, but don't waste your time with Chrono Cross. Yes, it's the sequal to Chrono trigger, but it's a REALLY BAD game. So far I have not been able to find any programs to rip a PSX game with, which really sucks. Just gotta keep looking though..

I've gone through several Programs, and none of them will rip a PSX CD. ;.; I am so unhappy right now. My FF9 CDs suck and I can't rip them until I find a workable program. ;.; And my Brother isn't being much of a help.. -Sigh.- Always think it will kill him to help out...

How come? Have you tried Alcohol 120%? But Nero can do that, I think.

The best emu I've found is PSXeven (PSX7) version 0.19. It's extremely simple to use and has internal tools for managing memory cards and savestates. The best plugins are: *GPU: P.E.Op.S Soft Driver v1.17 (gpuPeopsSoft.dll) Has glitchless graphics in most games and it's easy to configure. *SPU: P.E.Op.S Dsound Audio Driver v1.7 (spuPeopsDSound.dll) Excelent sound quality and easy configuration. *CDROM: Xeven's Cdr Driver v0.93 (cdrXeven.dll) Has automatic configuration and works fine with win98 and XP

Alcohol comes in two versions: Retail and Trial. If you need some registration info, PM me.

I can never get that PSX emulator to work right for some reason. I mean, I put the BIOS into the BIOS directory, and it keeps saying it needs one. Maybe I need a different BIOS? EDIT: Well, got the PSX Emulator working. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with ISOs or have Controller Support as far as I know. I will have to stick with the ePSXe Emulator for now.

I use Segu Direct Input Joystick Driver (padSeguDIJoy.dll). It works fine here. But, anyway... You can use the same input plugin you're using with epsxe.

If you have a Real Operating System(tm) or remnants thereof (otherwise, I got nuthin fer ya but clue), I've read that this script works.... #!/bin/sh #cdrdao read-cd --read-raw --datafile sony.bin --device 0,0,0 \ # --driver generic-mmc-raw [filename.toc] if [ "x${1}" = "x" ]; then echo "Need file name" else cdrdao read-cd --read-raw --datafile $1.bin --device 0,0,0 \ --driver generic-mmc-raw $1.toc fi
