The 7th submitted Monopoly run, improved by another 78 frames over
Phil's from a few days ago.
The game now goes like this:
- H: 1+1 - Community Chest, gain $200 from "Bank error in your favor"
- H: 3+5 - Visit jail
- C: 6+4 - Visit jail
- H: 3+3 - Buy St. James
- H: 1+1 - Buy Tennessee
- H: 1+3 - Chance, go back 3 spaces, buy New York
- H: Build 11 houses starting from St. James
- (movie end)
- C: 3+3 - Pay $750 at St. James
- C: 1+2 - Pay $800 at New York (bankrupt)
This new strategy is faster by about 3 seconds (from rolling one less time and not going back to Go), and some more after the movie end since the CPU doesn't need the "Go back 3 spaces" anymore, but I lost about 2 seconds back from the harder luck manipulation:
- 70 frames to manipulate Chance and Community Chest
- 42 frames to manipulate the CPU's last turn
Considering the low odds for each (1/256 and 1/648), you can guess where most of the re-records went ...
