Sorry, I've been busy lately, and haven't had time to check the boards. I definately don't have the time to do another run at the moment. :(
I very very rarely check my myspace site, so don't send anything there. It was just something I did when I was bored a while ago.
If anyone would like do a metroid run in my place, I can give lots of advice if needed.
Also, congrats on that speed run, SW, it was very nice. =)
If for honesty, you want apologies, I don't sympathize.
Zoizite - Why don't you just post away all the info you know already? Since you seem hard to reach anyways. :)

I've started improving the 100% run, but I have some problems.
It seems that the randomness is against me, I've been trying about 500 times
but I can't make that crawler (or whatever it's called) in the 3rd dissapear without wasting atleast 10 frames.
I inputted the password 1 frame faster than Zoizite did in his new run, but because of some frame rules I gained control 6 frames earlier than him.
And I lost 3 frames because of some frame rules again after picking up the morphing ball.
I don't know why but I couldn't do the 2nd room as fast as Zoizite in his new run.
And maybe becasue of that I can't make that crawler dissapear properly.
Any kind of help is welcome. Here's my short test run.
EDIT: Updated the movie file.
You should be able to input the password faster if you use back (I think it's A) to go the spots where you need to put the 2s instead putting zeros in. This is what I did in my speedrun.

Meh, the suited Samus sprite is so ugly though. :(
Anyways, to get the zoomer to not be in the tunnel in the 3rd room, you need to kill both skrees before the screen scrolls at all. This is quite a pain in the ass to get optimized, by the way. =P
Also, the password can be entered 1 frame faster, but for some reason, it negatively affected randomness in norfair last time I tried it (lava jumpers jumped low instead of high).
Spider-Waffle's input method would be even faster, though.

Rerecord count seems awfully small because I had no troubles manipulating that zoomer now.

Apon realizing you have to come back down to get the energy tank in brinstar I highly doubt doing Kraid first is worth it.
So I should use the same route as Zoizite?
I don't think so, I know a few door glitches that can improve apon it. Brinstar however I think should be the same. It's important to know if your doing this with up+A or not though.

It puts the run in a different category, the current 100% doesn't use up+A. It depends on what kind of run you want to make. Many people think the up+A is cheating and makes the run unwantingly discountinuous, others don't.
