You shouldn't hesitate to sign up on this because you don't feel like dream player, Angerfist. I really don't feel like a dream player either, but I see this as a fun thing to do, and something that tests both my skills in how to make a TAS as well as how to make a TAS in a group. For example, if a group of average players work really great together, I think they can come up with a result that is just as good as a group of dream players who have no teamwork at all. So at least how I see it, this is a lot a matter of teamwork too. And besides, this isn't NHL or anything, it's just a fun competition. I hope you change your mind and sign up on this Angerfist, I would be really glad if I got a Swede in my group! :)

Im not going to sign up because i dont have much time to dedicate ;_; but i would like to left a vote for now: console: N64 (since there are more games to be explored) Also, whats if the selected game has any strange bug? like nes tiny toons' and left+right snes smb3? furthermore, i think some particular rules to the TAS should be made to avoid problems o.o

I think it should let players exploit all glitches, otherwise all runs would look like too much. One of the interesting aspects of this is to see how many different tricks the teams will come up with.

I'm not sure I could do a Nintendo 64 run besides something like Kirby or Bomberman because I don't know of a good way to get all the different tilts and directions I'd want. Unless someone knows of a way to do that without paying money to get a controller and going through the trouble of installing it, it might be unfair.

Yeah, I need to figure out how that works... I tried playing some Bomberman 64 with the keyboard and mouse in tandem, but it just made Bomberman really wobbly. Is there a way to make it so you don't have to keep pushing the mouse to move in a certain direction? Like, just hold it over a zone to choose the direction or something like that?

Not sure. Is there that much of a difference between assigning each joystick direction to a button on the keyboard? Or is that what you were saying in the first place?

The two plugins I have just let you assign buttons to four directions, and then by combining them you can get eight directions. And you can set the tilt amount, but only in that menu, and you can't reach the far corners of the input range. I chose the one I did because it doesn't have a gradual tilt-over time like the other one.

Oh I see. That seems like the way Mario 64 DS was made, you controlled him with the control pad but he moved as if it were a joystick.

How many N64 games could be TASed properly in 2 weeks? Plus some people may not be able to run them as well as others. I vote SNES.

I vote GBA or GBC/GB. There are a lot of games on those that would make pretty good runs, are short, and haven't been attempted yet (and are less likely to be well-known to someone in the group, for less chance of initial advantages, if that matters). SNES/Genesis/NES would also be fine given a suitable game on them, but those systems have been explored more thoroughly. In any case, only games that are interesting and have not yet been done should be considered (but maybe that's obvious). I'd be interested in this, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to commit to it - I wouldn't want to sign up and then discover I don't have time to actually do anything.

Voting for N64. Namely, Blast Corps, since the preliminary levels mix both speed and style. People can divide their teams based on who uses which vehicle the best/has the best level strategy.

I'm not entering, since I'm far too busy with other things, sorry. I would vote for a NES run, N64 would be nice aswell, but I don't see that actually happening. If you want to see what teams perform best, 2 weeks is a good time limit, but if the goal is to produce great movies aswell, I think 2 weeks is a little short.

I don't think I will be part of any team. I am too busy with other games right now.

I too have way much to do right now. School is taking too much time as usual. Good luck though.

I am voting for GBA. There's lot of new games that are released. So it could be one of them. So it will be sure no one had played it before.
