Set your color to rank 4, set the difficulty to easiest, and start the game on the veteran map. GG
So, the GBC version of this game actually has more difficulty options than any other version of the game:
  • Easiest (Effortless)
  • Very Easy (Borderline impossible deathless, plausible with deaths)
  • Easy (Borderline impossible)
  • Normal
  • Hard
  • Very Hard
  • Hardest
Why the hell they added "Hardest" is beyond me - especially since they limit you to 3 continues in this version. No one has even beaten Very Hard regardless of retry count (arcade has settings for continue count, I think the max is 8?)

eien86: Claiming for judging.

eien86: This movie successfully finishes GBC Rampart by doing... well, basically nothing. The designers of the game went so literal on 'easiest mode' that the CPU enemies are absolutely incapable of defeating the user, even if no resistence is opposed. As a result, the only inputs required to beat the game are those to start the game itself.
Since this movie does not aim for fastest completion (it could be faster if inputs were made), it does not qualify to standard. However, the main goal of this movie is entertainment and its meme value so:
Accepting to Playground

eien86: Unaccepting since we found out the movie uses the incorrect bios (Sameboy) instead of the proper one (Gameboy). Please resync your movie to use the proper bios (I tried myself but failed).
Additionally, we've discussed internally that once the movie is resynced, it applies to Standard (not Playground). Precedent is [519] NES Dragon Warrior IV by adelikat in 2:09:06.58

eien86: Replaced movie with resync using correct bios. Accepting to publication class 'Standard' for the reasons given above.

despoa: Processing...

here's the new movie, 2.9.1, just redid the whole thing from scratch and saved a frame. it'll throw an error about cycle count but you can ignore it https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638500930361480214

Cycle count in this core is important because it's the only way to have correct duration info. It's easy to fix it by simply saving the movie when it pauses on the last frame.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
