Introduction

Shoot for the Moon is a freeware university project created by lunarApocalypse, which can be downloaded from here: https://lunarapocalypse.itch.io/shoot-for-the-moon
It's a short story-focused platforming collection game that has an omnidirectional dash and music from other video games. Although, due to The Glitch, most of this won't be obvious.

The Glitch

Due to a programming oversight with edges, it's possible to enter invisible walls and ledge corners via precise angles. This one oversight leads to a great deal of bugs, the most important of which is attaining a high degree of velocity due to the game attempting to eject Yerba and flipping out from the edge case. Near as I can tell, the game thinks Yerba is both in air and on the ground, which additionally means the dash is recharged for further exploits. Fun!
Beyond the dash, Yerba moves incredibly slow, so airtime is reduced as much as possible to take advantage of the dash's speed instead.

Potential Improvements

Due to the sheer power of The Glitch, there might be more places where a fling can be implemented to save a few frames, but for my own sanity I'll leave it at this.

Suggested Screenshot

Frame 1467 (Because of the update, I would suggest 1737. It should be the same spot)

nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: Replacing with a version that doesn't bypass the so balled "Start Up" or BIOS screen.
nymx: I love glitches like this. Your use is entertaining. I especially love the ability to clip through walls and cut tons of time off for traversing a room.
Great job on this!
In regards to the skipped "Start Up" screen, we had a discussion about this and we don't have a rule for this scenario. Samsara corrected it to keep conformity with the rest of our publications. Don't worry...this part can't be claimed by anyone to declare an obsoletion (am I creating a new word here? LOL) over your submission.
Accepting to Standard.

despoa: Processing...

Version with the BIOS screen and trimmed input: User movie #638492501793591035 No input changes were needed other than the added wait to account for the BIOS.

Thank you.
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX
