TAS originally finished on 24 November 2023, but haven't got round to submitting until now.
About the Game:
Rock Paper Scissors is a 2015 homebrew puzzle game released for the NES by WRYGames. It follows the rules of the titular hand game played by many people, but in the format of a vertical puzzle level. You can also use bubbles to stack on top of things.
About the TAS:
This TAS aims for fastest in-game time and finishes with a time of 4:19.
Gameplay/Tech:
After some thinking, I made up my own strategy for fastest completion, which is as follows: Stack different piles up to the maximum height that can be dealt with (8) and then get rid of the piles when we get the right items.
Sometimes RNG is manipulated to get the right items as some won't fit at times. Gameplay continues like this until the very end, where we make a couple of stacks while making sure all the other stacks are at a height of 1.
Input ends on frame 15682 when we drop the final item required - a rock to break the stack of scissors. Final score is 599.
