About the Game(s):
“Action 52” is an unlicensed game made for the NES and Sega Genesis, featuring - you guessed it - 52 different video games. The NES version was published in 1991, whereas the Genesis version was published in 1993. Both versions were published by Active Enterprises.
“Robbie and the Robots” is game 51/52 in the NES version of Action 52. You play as Robbie, who has to go through 6 levels shooting anything in his path.
About the TAS:
This TAS aims for Any%, which means completing all 6 levels.
This is a 54 frame improvement over the previous TAS, which was made by
OtakuTAS. I used his TAS as a base for mine.
The Improvements:
- Right off the bat, I managed to save 1 frame from better menuing.
- The other 53 are from lag reduction. Otaku erratically spammed A to shoot, but this caused additional lag frames. I managed to get rid of these by removing the spamming that caused any lag.
In Conclusion:
After my take on this TAS, I think it is now perfect, as you never have to slow down as long as you just keep firing and jump at the right times.
