Sigma has one big hitbox, and it doesn't matter where you hit it, and if you strike him with hadouken it'll just splash into him, and then nothing else'll happen. I've played around with this, and I've got the same results everytime. I'm pretty sure it's not possible at all.

Which version of the ROM are you using? It's possible that v1.0 and v1.1 differ in this.
I dunno. I guess I'll dig up the ole' cartridge tonight and see if I'm remembering this correctly or not. But I distinctly remember watching that big face flash after hadoukening Sigma.
I like where this is going. giggidy giggidy giggidy. Seriously, looks good so far. Keep it up.

Nice double car-damage boost in the intro :-)
Wouldnt you be able to save a few frames off the blue helicopter guys by jumping before your first shot so you can shoot them as they are descending? That's the only thing that pops out at me.
This signature is much better than its previous version.

Could someone please just help me doing the trick with the cars? I just can't figure it out and I need help badly.
Sorry if the movie sucks, but I've never played MMX before except on my Super NES, and I havn't compared it to other movies. :)
Looks good so far.
To do the car trick, you have to jump first before firing. Otherwise the car pushes you back.
I'm currently at the end part of the intro stage, but I'm trying to manipulate Vile (the run is on hold for a while).
I didn't watch your movie, so I don't know what your problem is, but I will explain the trick, as I know it. (I was going to do a 100% run of this game but didn't make it past the intro level).
Shoot the car until it has one shot left before it dies. Let it follow you/hit you, but before it explodes, jump on and ride it for a couple of frames, this seems to reset its self-destruct sequence.

You might try shooting it starting sooner or later, or pausing between shots. I remember having similar problems when I did this level, but solved it without much trouble.

watch Dehacked's WIP and see how he handles it. I basically copied my intro stage from him, mixed with a little bit of common sense. It can be done. I'm not sure what you mean by "I can't think," but I would suggest using frame advance which gives you infinite time to think.

Maybe you should've watched the movie before replying, just a suggestion, and I did try to copy the exact movements from both dehacked's and Fractalfusions videos, but I guess that something's still wrong, though I cannot figure out what.
Try jumping one frame before firing. Basically, the input should look like this.
(when you regain control)
Frame x: B >
Frame x+1: BY >
Frame x+2: (B) >
(and so on)
It works for me, so it should work for you. If you still can't get it to work, I'll try to make it work.
Sometimes, the timing is different for no apparent reason.
Don't even bother. I'm giving up, it's not even good. It's my first try, which means I'm most certainly losing frames at several places, so I'd guess I'll leave it to someone else, as I wrote in some other topic (I think) I'm not gonna try this anymore, I don't think while playing, I just do what I've seen others do. :)

Ok, I lose alot of frames in the end of the introstage, but I guess it can't be helped, or it can, but I don't care, which is why I'm gonna call this "version 1".
And I also lose alot of frames somewhere between when Vile picks me up and when I enter Chill penguins stage, and I don't know where that comes from, so... A little help please? :) (Yes, I do suck and I know nothing about this game, no need to mention.)
I don't think you suck, your attempt looks a lot better than mine did. You may have lost frames because you were not on the EXTREME left edge of the screen when vile's ship dropped him, it looks like it had to fly to the right a few pixels. It looked like the password screen was up for a longer than it had to be (It might not be, just my first impression). Hope it helps. Are you doing an any% or a 100%? I vote 100

You need to be a bit more left when the last car is destroyed and the cutscene starts. I know that's trouble since you've hit the end of the screen, but there's a slight time loss there.
Make Vile dash up to you. This is luck manipulation.
You can skip a small (about 2 second) portion of the end of the boss intro screen. Mash the start button during the sequence to see what I mean.
I know I was too far to the right, and I guess it could be helped, but I'll finish this and set up my goal according to this instead of someone elses, I guess it's just me, but I feel more motivated when I'm beating myself instead of anyone else.
I tried having Vile dash up to me but it jumped away when it got to me.
And I don't get what you mean with the last point. :/
I'm gonna do one where I only pick up what's necessery to complete the game, like the one that's already up at the site, I've never liked adding new types of videos/runs.
Try shooting rapidly (not autofire) at it and it might do something different. Then again, it might not.
I'm having trouble at this part too. Vile keeps dashing at me at the very start instead of jumping back and firing a shot. I might have to redo the car sequence.
Shortly after the music ends on the boss intro screen, you can press start (or B or Y) to fade screen. If you don't, the screen doesn't fade for another 2 seconds.
Believe me, I made that mistake before, and all throughout my test run.
I had the same mindset, only improving on other's runs. But it's nice to add some new runs, right?
