Just wanted to pop in to say the new site looks really promising. Great work to the team as a whole!

As we close in on a go-live state, the link has once again changed, this time to: https://staging.tasvideos.org It's a bit unreliable at the moment, but as I said, we're closing in on going live with the rewrite, so these links will become obsolete pretty soon anyway.

On the https://staging.tasvideos.org/Publications/Filter page, please sort alphabetically the various listboxes (e.g. flags, groups). I note that the Platform listbox uses abbreviations for everything, which doesn't seem necessary (e.g. gc when it would be clearer to spell out "GameCube"). Likewise, flags uses "improve" for "Major Improvement". It doesn't seem possible to filter on genre, why not? How about filtering by the TASer who created it? This whole page takes up only the top 25% or so of my browser window, meaning all listboxes can be much taller. In the groups listbox, "Pokemon" is rendered as "PokACmon". Browsing from https://staging.tasvideos.org/Movies , the search tab should probably lead to the aforementioned filter page, but currently gives an error. The movies by category tab should be alphabetized. Likewise, on https://staging.tasvideos.org/Subs-List the pulldown for system should be alphabetized. The header for boxes "statuses" and "status filter" should be clearer. What is meant is respectively "statuses not shown below" and "statuses shown below". I'm unclear why statuses uses those left/right arrow buttons, whereas the years selector instead uses shift-click to multiselect, and the systems selector is a pulldown only allowing one option, and the user selector is a text field. Consistency is more user-friendly. Browsing to (e.g.) https://staging.tasvideos.org/GameResources/DS should have the list of subpages expanded; currently it looks like the page is empty except for "see also" links.

Fixed
I note that the Platform listbox uses abbreviations for everything, which doesn't seem necessary (e.g. gc when it would be clearer to spell out "GameCube"). Likewise, flags uses "improve" for "Major Improvement".
Flags are fixed, System won't be so easy, will take some work. Plus they are pretty standard abbreviations throughout the site, and the world, so I'm not thinking that is a super high priority yet.
It doesn't seem possible to filter on genre, why not?
The why not is just that I didn't think about it. I added this feature request here: https://github.com/TASVideos/tasvideos/issues/661
How about filtering by the TASer who created it?
Maybe author filtering can be added at some point, that is a lot less trivial. I'm sure we will get to that eventually: https://github.com/TASVideos/tasvideos/issues/662
This whole page takes up only the top 25% or so of my browser window, meaning all listboxes can be much taller.
Yeah, I don't know why it is doing that. There is no css that is specifying any size in particular, and I'm not sure how to force it to be taller without some shenanigans.
In the groups listbox, "Pokemon" is rendered as "PokACmon".
That's actually a really good catch, that was a encoding problem with importing the production data. It's fixed, though you won't see it reflected on staging, until another import which likely won't happen before go-live on the 1st
Browsing from https://staging.tasvideos.org/Movies , the search tab should probably lead to the aforementioned filter page, but currently gives an error.
That's not an error, it is just saying we don't have the wiki module, which we don't because we don't want it. Once we go live we can replace the tab with the content we want. This isn't something we can handle during a data import or fix before go-live since it would affect the current site.
The movies by category tab should be alphabetized. Likewise, on https://staging.tasvideos.org/Subs-List the pulldown for system should be alphabetized.
Fixed

I don't have much to say about any of this. Maybe someone interested will want to clean it up a bit

Good catch. It used to be open by default but some fairly recent refactoring broke this functionality. It is now fixed.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

staging.tasvideos/org/Subs-List seems to have a pretty severe problem at the moment where a bunch of random nonsense submissions from 4 days ago can be found below the regular list (primarily being atttributed to MESHUGGAH?).

It’s because people are testing, in preparation of go-live on the 1st

The page address https://tasvideos.org/Rating.exe/My doesn't exist anymore but is still linked in Movie Watching articles. I see in the profile area there are https://tasvideos.org/Profile/Ratings and https://tasvideos.org/Profile/Unrated. One issue is that I can't sort them by Entertainment or Tech rating anymore. Another issue is that I am not sure whether there is still a summary page showing the rating statistics of myself and other users, like this:

I happened to be browsing /MoviePublishingHistory at the time of the switchover (after not visiting the site for months). I clicked on one of the publication links, then pressed the back button, and suddenly everything was gone. It used to list all publications, including all obsoleted publications, in a single HTML document. Now it shows less than two months of only non-obsoleted publications. There is no apparent way to show more. The page is still accessible from /Movies by clicking "List of movies, together with their predecessors" in the "Lists" tab, but it doesn't actually contain all movies, or any predecessors at all. Is it supposed to be infinite scroll, and the scrolling is malfunctioning for some reason? I do have JavaScript enabled. I hope it isn't infinite scroll, because a nice thing about the old page was that everything was just there. You could press Ctrl+F and type some text and it would find it anywhere on the page. If you were browsing in another tab, and the browser discarded the rendered page and had to reload it when you switched back to the tab, it would scroll to the same position on the page. None of that happens with infinite scroll. (XKCD #1309) Another thing I noticed is the hierarchy of obsoleted publications is no longer shown on publication pages. You used to be able to see it at a glance. Now you have to click a link, and wait for another page to load, and you have to do this for every single publication.

Light mode flashes during page load before dark mode is applied. That's terrible. Also would it be possible to make a subpage that redirects to the main page with dark enabled ( do tasvideos.org/d or the like)? It would be helpful for people that clear cookies regularly but want to start in dark mode.

I have a PR in to fix the flashing on page load, I'm iffy on whether we'd want to have a page for dark mode as that could easily cause SEO issues if we aren't careful

I see the forum lacks of "Poll" sign, unlike in the elder version. "Future of Encoding" thread in General looks like a regular thread.
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

Great work on the new site. I have some bugs to report with the 'posts since your last visit' feature: https://tasvideos.org/Forum/Posts/New?CurrentPage=1&PageSize=10 1) Clicking 'Reset' does not actually clear the results. It just puts you back on the first page. I would assume it'd remove all results (for example going from my current 56 to 0) so it does not grow indefinitely. 2) The hyperlinks to specific topics (for example Forum → Site → Site Rewrite: Feedback and Testing Wanted) do not actually link to those topics. Instead, they link back to the current page you're on.)
