+ Used FCEU + No warps or passwords. + Just taking a hit or 2 for a quick jump. + I take 2 hits, both to make a jump. + I aim for making this impossible game look easy.
+ Everything about this game is hard. Give the game a shot. I am a big fan of the series, and this is by far the most difficult one. The game also moves faster than any other NES game I've ever played.
+ This game was released in Japan only, and it's not hard to see why. The game is one of the most bizaare I've ever played, as it's more a parody of the original than anything. The game moves insanely fast; so I thought that watching a movie of it's completion would be really cool to see. The game itself is massively entertaining in it's weirdness. Fans of the Splatterhouse series need to check this one out. I try to have some fun with the game at times, which is hard; since the thing is so difficult. There are 2 times in the movie that damage is taken, both to complete a quick jump.

You seem to miss a lot of swings and don't always hit bosses as soon as possible and as often as possible?

I stopped watching aftera few minutes. You need to read and think about the guidelines for making movies. Specifically, I noticed a problem with way too many missed "shots" (axe swings, in this case):

Furthermore, a greater effort must be made to keep moving. Don't stop for creatures or obstacles unless absolutely, positively necessary. Taking a hit that pushes you forward is no problem.

This video isn't as good as it could be, most notably because of the numerous missed axe swings. You may want to work on making every swing count if you do another revision of the video. Since you've stated that you take damage at a couple points to save time, I think that you should consider doing so a bit more often. There are many points where it would be faster to take damage and proceed rather than wait for an obstacle to get out of the way.

good points. this is my first movie, so i know there are mistakes in it. i thank everyone for the critique. in terms of taking damage, i only tried to take it when i HAVE to. the game also moves so damn fast that it would take me forever to make a movie that i dont miss a single swing in. the stops in the movie are actually to queue certain spawns, whic in turn allow for a faster time.
Who ever got anywhere by being normal?

Game speed is irrelevant. The emulator should be used to slow the action to a frame-by-frame crawl, if necessary.
