An action/platform game, from the same creators of Wild Guns -- Natsume.
I think the proper name for this is either a pure speedrun or suicidal run, there are some minor mistakes that can be fixed -- but I didn't notice them until afterwards. Also, you have to do some "second consuming" things on a few parts to be lucky to get a good item or whatever. I think it's a cool run though, if you've played the game you know that it can be insanely irritating and unfair at some points. Especially on suicidal runs like this. Doing a no damage run would take much longer because the enemies are quite strong.
Damage taken and lives lost to save time, when you start your new life you do this super attack that'll attack everything on the screen -- hence why I chose to die on a boss. I'm not sure if there are any shortcuts or warps, so none are used. The game got some nice music, and the final levels and music does actually give you that feeling like "I'm on my way to the end".
Played on normal mode. 3000+ rerecords. 24min 53s.

Phil: The majority of people think that this video is boring to watch. So refused.

adelikat: Unrejecting this submission for consideration into the Vault tier

adelikat: Rejecting due the need for more optimization as pointed out in the thread. Also, even for the Vault, not missing/wasting shots is preferred

He misses far to many leawes and shoots alot before he even can hit the bosses. I don't think this movie is anything special that should be publiched.

This run coulde be a lot better. There are a lot of missed shots and some of the bosses could be done faster. Not very impressive

I could continue this if there are any interest. http://frenom.areta.org/smv/pocky&rocky-frenom-2playersalone.zip I lack some motivation in my work here. Playing it in 140ms is kinda booring ;) hehe. Besides. It it more fun to watch it, then playing it. And I blame my keyboard a little. Unfortually they do have a buffer and this one can hold 8buttons until my pc-speaker complains.

Yes, but playing in 500ms is worse, which is what I do for Dracula X.

some improvement would be nice, too many lost lives, lost concentration and control somewhere on the middle... Many hands make light work (2-players mode)

Way too many missed shots make the run seem unprofessional and like a regular play. Also entertainment-factor drops quite a lot because of that. Boss-battles take too much time, but because I have never really played this one too much I don't know If they could be done faster. At least there seems to be room for improvement. I also think this run could be quite a lot more entertaining if it was done without getting hit at all.

I watched this one awhile ago, I'm surprised I never posted: I felt pretty strongly that it should be rejected. Firstly, the game is an obvious candidate for 2-player. But aside from that, as has been said, many shots are missed, lives needlessly lost, powerups gained only to lose them shortly after. This is a game I'd really like to see, but unfortunately I'd like to see better.
