Unfortunately, you can't. All posts and members are kept for archival and historical purposes. Unless you can persuade Bisqwit to delete it for you.

It would destroy every post you've ever made. Whole discussions would collapse. We don't want that. So in general, such requests are denied.

Actually, posts and topics are left intact even when an account is deleted on phpBB because posts made by deleted users are shown as "guest" posts.

At most, there would be no username associated with those posts.

Actually they become Guest posts named 'megaman.' (When Guest posting is enabled you may enter a name that isn't already the name of an existing member.) However, Bisqwit seems to have slightly modified his phpBB install and deleting that account may indeed break the system, especially if the user has submitted movies. Then again, I haven't actually looked at the backend of this site, so this is all speculation.

Only if I have recently run my phpBB-fix script. Otherwise, they just become "Anonymous". So, mr. megaman, why do you wish to have your account deleted?

Maybe he's come to the conclusion that he's embarrassed himself with some of his posts.

... And I thought I was embarassed... Look, you are what you are, account-wise. And if you did any mistakes, deal with it. Just don't plead and hope you can terminate your past that easily. You have to stick with the burden, but also make your account worth the visit here.

Couldn't you just register a new account like BlackMagic/Hyakutaro did?

That's a bad idea. If you wish to have your nickname changed, you should contact me.

Aren't you working on a TAS for the SNES version of SMB lost levels?, megaman? I really want to see that done, so I hope you haven't abandoned it, but I guess that the fact that you want to delete your account shows that you're not working on it anymore... too bad. Anyway, I hope you can tell us why you you would want your account deleted. If you for some reason feel that you've been treated badly by someone, then talk to them about it. I don't think that deleting your account is the best alternative. Or maybe I'm way off in this, in any case, I hope this gets settled.

I've just decided I prefer making speedruns on a console than trting to Play on the keyboard (trust me, if you've seen the smv's on super mario 2j i've posted, I am alot better than that on a console.)

Yes, but why do you believe you need your account deleted? You could just abandon it.

I agree that playing a ROM with a controller is often a lot easier than with a keyboard. Therefor you could do like I did and get a gamepad. I bought this Logitech RumblePad 2, and you can set up hotkeys for the a gamepad's buttons, so I've setup "savestate" and "loadstate" as gamepad hotkey-buttons. In fact, I think that this gamepad I have is more comfortable than the SNES controller, but that's just my opinion. So if you don't like to play the games with the keyboard, my tips is that you buy yourself a gamepad, that should make it a lot easier playing. Just a tips. And don't be upset because your Super Mario movie didn't look good, seeing how much you improved it from the first version to your latest version, I think you could do a pretty good job on that game. Sure, there are stuff that can be improved, but that's one of the beauties with TAS-ing (I don't know if this is even a word :) ), you can often improve your own runs, competing with yourself.
