Something random. I decided to play on Dolphin, because why the heck not? I started Metroid Prime and it was working PERFECTLY fine. The next day when I try to start the game again, it said that Dolphin stopped working and closes the program. What happend???

Which Dolphin version and operating system are you using? Are you using an Intel GPU?

Dolphin 4.0-7070, Windows 8.1 Apparently I don't know what an Intel GPU is, so here's what I think it is. Intel Core i3-4030U CPU, 1.90GHz with a 64-bit operating system.

That's your CPU, not your GPU. Anyway, you can try to go to C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Dolphin Emulator and delete the ShaderCache folder. It gets created every time you run a game, and some Intel GPUs apparently have an issue with loading shaders from there.

I tried what you said, and it seems to have worked. It does bother me that I would have to delete the ShaderCache folder every single time I start a game. Is there any other way that I can make the game work without having to constantly do that?

I suggest updating the drivers for your Intel GPU. There was talk once about making Dolphin automatically delete the old shaders if you had one of the affected GPUs, but I think the conclusion was that it only was an issue with certain broken drivers.

Are you suggesting that I have a broken driver? Well, I guess it doesn't matter. I downloaded that version of Dolphin months ago and didn't even try to play anything on it until now. I can go ahead and update to the latest version though. Thanks for the help!

It's possible that there's something wrong with the driver, yes. Intel's drivers have problems sometimes, but the luckily the Windows drivers don't have as many problems with Dolphin as the OS X ones.

No, Dolphin can't load 7z files.
