The idea to put pencil to paper on this subject came about after I read (and agreed with) the criticisms in the AGDQ 2017 thread which noted that there was very little explanation this year of what TASes are/do. Ideally I'd like to see whomever presents TASBot at the next GDQ we attend use some of what I've (and hopefully, we've) written here.

Okay got into a mess with the google doc because I mixed up "comments" and "suggestions". Looks like a good explanation but I personally feel like the concept of re-recording is very important. For me the key concepts are: input file, frame advance, re-recording, perhaps memory watch.

I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Nah. The top link that's here under miscellaneous is better (and is well organized and timestamped) and also comes in French. So if we're going to link something that explains more to the front page of all places, when we actually already link to the welcome page for people have never signed in it'd be that. But since we actually link to the welcome page froom the index;

It's simple and easy to write No and use the better introduction.
