I've used TAStudio for personal TASes before, of games like Sonic 2 and Mario games, but I have yet to try it with a fighting game. I'm going to start with making a playaround of Street Fighter 2 Turbo for the SNES. I would use the virtual pad but I prefer the ability to go back and fix mistakes on a sequencer/piano roll. How would I go about doing this on the piano roll?

I, um... don't understand the question. You said you've used TAStudio before, but it sounds like you're asking how to use it. If you know how to use it for one game, the exact same process would apply to any other game of any genre. If that's not it, then what exactly are you asking?

I can see where you might have misunderstood me. What I'm asking is how would I go about TASing a fighting game with TAStudio, not how to use TAStudio for just any game. Sorry if my question seemed unclear. I'm actually TASing SF2T right now.[/u]

You would be doing exactly the same thing with TAStudio that you have done with other games.
I am still the wizard that did it. "On my business card, I am a corporate president. In my mind, I am a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer." -- Satoru Iwata <scrimpy> at least I now know where every map, energy and save room in this game is

It's still the exact same process, you just have to watch out for different kinds of mistakes. The best I can say is get familiar with some of the other playaround TASes we have on the site and learn from them. You'll probably want to avoid the obvious things like missing attacks or having the CPU block more than anything else, but you'll want to work on things like keeping flow or making sure you're always in a good spot after each attack. It's hard to give advice on playarounds but hopefully that helps a little.

Sorry, there's no way to use tastudio for a fighting game. It can only work for all the rest game genres.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
