Comments

In this run of a game which I think is a clone of Kamen no ninja - Akakage because most bosses seems to be the same as those that are in Kamen no Ninja, which is one of my favorite games. So I just did a fast TAS for this game with BizHawk for the first time and it's an occasion to use this emulator, but I still like FCEUX more. I would like to note that I used QuickNES as a core for NES
By the way, this run beats this one by 24.97 secs. Hope you enjoy this, I did my best to make more fun in a boring game

Samsara: Well, you know, I'm obligated to insert myself wherever there's a Puss involved. Judging.
Samsara: File replaced with a 79 frame faster file. Since the opening ~2000 frames of this new file are my input, I've added myself as a co-author, meaning someone else needs to judge it now.
GoddessMaria: Judging.
GoddessMaria: Alright, I have to say now that this movie is fairly unoptimized... As a few have stated, this run isn't quite as optimal as it could be. If I may suggest, examine every possible path and technique everywhere as you have better chances to discover what would've went unnoticed otherwise.
With that said, I am rejecting this movie. Please feel free to try again!

Let me just not allow the credits to get to the ending sequence, 'cause that's what you're meant to do in a McBobX encode. Your encode and downloadables don't complete the credit sequence. Both your downloadables codecs are out of date. We're at r2665 not r2197. We're not using anything you have provided us. Oh, my vote is Meh.

I wouldn't consider this one critical.

Hmm, not a bad movie. The character's walking and jumping is incredibly awkward though. There are a lot of autoscrollers, but they don't last that long. I liked seeing the little forward boosts in the submarine. The boss fights and the last stage were the highlights for me. I had not heard of the Akakage game before, and there's not much about it on Wikipedia. However, I think you're right about this game being a copy. The title screens look incredibly similar, and the games are both partially made by Toei Studios and have the same music composer. I'm wondering though; if the ninja Akakage was supposed to be a character in feudal Japan, then how did he fight robots and ride a submarine?
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. User movie #29842683746592375 First area done exactly 60 frames faster. There seem to be a lot of weird stops in the submission, and jumping on top of the buildings also ends up being slower since you need to land more often, which loses a frame each time. This path most likely isn't the quickest, either. I'd have to recommend redoing this and taking a much closer look at the jumping paths through each level to ensure they're the fastest.

You know, I'm forced to question this. 2067 frames of the newer input, is a straight copy paste of the input Samsara provided as the 60 frame improvement. Are you seriously considering to claim it all as your own work without requesting to place Samsara as a co-author? The answer is apparently "Yes" since your version 2 YouTube encode just says "by McBobX" And thus, Samsara added their name to it.

File replaced. McBobX, I would have much preferred if you improved my input (which was only a quick, unoptimized test) instead of using it outright. That was my intention (as I said, the path I took most likely isn't the quickest). But, as Spike said, I had to add myself as a co-author since ~10% of the movie is now my input. To the next judge, I recommend continuing to look at the input, as I still have the feeling that there's a lot of improvement left, especially in my opening section.

Ok, I'll try But I also forgot to note to add your name as a co-author for this. It's important.
