Sorry for the double post. This is a filler TAS I made, and the hack is Sonic 2: Complex Levels Edition. Be sure to watch it in HD, you get 60fps if you do so. Link to video Update for the Sonic Classic Heroes Max Rings project: Currently at Marble Zone 3. For now on, I will upload the zone instead of the individual acts (i.e. Spring Yard Zone act 1, 2, 3 all in one video)

Triple post. This should be considered as a crime. Anyhow, I made another full Sonic hack TAS. This time it's Sonic Speed Battle, a cheap-hard hack. This run does not contain any zips, although you could argue it contains glitches. Enjoy. Link to video I won't be posting anything here for quite some time due to the excessive posts. I'm not a fan of self-advertising, but if you want to be updated on my newest videos, you should subscribe to my YouTube channel.

After watching HDL discover on stream that Bunnie could use her rocket boots to do stair clip on SBZ3, I just had to do this: Link to video (Link to GMV) Edit: Another level: Link to video (Link to GMV)

It's been too long since I saw some Sonic Hack TAS clips. I wonder what's been going on.

So, I went for the full game TAS. Not very well optimized, but already faster than Tails and Knuckles. Link to video Improved the Bunnie TAS by 0:11::33. A full game TAS. Not very well optimized, there is probably a lot of frames to save in a lot of levels. Times: GHZ1: 0:13::57 GHZ2: 0:09::55 GHZ3: 0:25::52 MZ1: 0:09::52 MZ2: 0:10::26 MZ3: 0:26::51 SYZ1: 0:18::38 SYZ2: 0:19::31 SYZ3: 0:41::50 LZ1: 0:07::57 LZ2: 0:05::31 LZ3: 0:15::39 SLZ1: 0:09::29 SLZ2: 0:08::48 SLZ3: 0:26::16 SBZ1: 0:17::40 SBZ2: 0:09::30 SBZ3: 0:02::47 FZ: 1:10::19 Total: 5:50::48 Tails and Knuckles are now left eating dust in almost all levels.

Well, if you count hacks, Sonic can still be way faster (as there are such hacks as: Sonic 1 over 9000, Sonic 1 OSP)

There is no zip in the first act (or in any of the acts); there is a level wrap, which is a completely different thing.

I am slowly working on an improvement of Sonic 3 & Amy any% TAS. And I managed to improve AIZ1, AIZ2 and HCZ1 by 5-10 frames. HCZ2 is not improved. I am proceeding to MGZ, which is improveable by at least a second, as DMTM claimed he had improved the current TAS time by 40 frames. I have no idea how long it will take to improve this stage, as I don’t have that much spare time and thus I TAS really seldom.

I remember seeing a video of a hack with Pikachu in it. There's also Fluttershy in Sonic 2, as well as Sonic 3 & Rainbow Dash. Recently, there's a new hack called Somari the Adventurer, which is based off of Mario. The title shares its name with a Famicom Bootleg. It won't be very long to see Russell Ferguson from Littlest Pet Shop to be in a Sonic Hack. Sonic Classic Heroes 3-Player TAS FTW!

Recently I’ve been unable to TAS because my Gens stopped to work under wine. I have no idea why.

Out of curiosity: are you trying to TAS on a laptop with a NVIDIA GPU with the Optimus technology? And if so, are you using Nouveau (the open source driver) or the proprietary driver?

It’s a desktop PC with the proprietary nvidia driver & 64 bit Arch Linux
