Personally I like the 'jump-on-the-pipe' thing in smb, world 8-4. (instead of taking the coinblock underneath) Just amazing! I'll come up with some more later.

The warping from 1-2 to 1-1 glitch in SMB2 is pretty cool. ALttP has some pretty cool glitches, like the one that completely messes up the whole skull dungeon and each room looks like a different room, and you can even get to a glitched room in the swamp palace by going through one of the doors. DKC has a pretty cool glitch that lets you split up the characters and it also leads to lots of side effects such as being able to take rambi into water levels.

Is there any site that describes those Zelda glitches? I once ran into a very strange one myself. I fell down in the hole where you get the (first) sword, but it was later in the game, when it wasn't raining. I landed in a room with lots of rubines, it look very much like one of the roomes in Turtle rock, which is full of rubies and has these evil rolling spiked things. However this room was only full of rubies, and when I exited it, I came out of Link's house. So what can we find next, hidden nuclear bunker under Gannon's pyramid? My favourite glitch has to be this whole new town you can get to in Zelda 2. If you visit this town where you can walk on the roof, and you jump to the top of the screen and become fairy. This usually has strange effects in the dungeons, and the effect here is even more weird.

You more than likely stumbled upon the room described here as the "Chris Houlihan Room," scroll down until you see the appropriate FAQ: Okay... go to www.gamefaqs.com , look up Legend of Zelda for the SNES, and find the appropriate FAQ... I can't be arsed to figure out this linking dilemma.

Have anyone tried the 'shoot-fireball-as-small-mario-trick' in smb1? Quote: Go to either 1-4, 2-4, 3-4, etc. and get to Bowser. Make sure you are Big Mario and try to jump over Bowser or run under him. Stand near the Axe and Bowser will start to walk towards you. As he gets near you, jump high, and touch Bowser and the Axe at the same time. If you do it correctly, you will hear the sound as if you were to shrink, but you will just flash and stay big. Go to the next stage, and get a Mushroom. (Yes, there will be a Mushroom instead of a Fire Flower.) When you touch the Mushroom, you will shrink. Then get a Fire Flower, and you'll have Fire Power as small Mario. (Note: after you do the Bowser/Axe trick, enemies that touch you will be able to kill you when you are Big Mario. When they touch you while you are small Mario after getting the Mushroom or Fire Flower, you will turn back into Big Mario.)

Yeah, everyone knows about the small and fiery trick. I think the glitches I mentioned are cooler.

I think from a "how-useful-is-this" perspective, I give the nod to Mega Man's pause glitch.

Ever play around with the debug mode in Sonic 3 & Knuckles? It introduces a whole mother load of glitches, such as: - Fighting multiple Metal Sonics simultaneously. - VARIOUS tile and palette glitches... - Playing Doomsday Zone as Tails or Knuckles...ironically, though they normally appear glitched here, one technique that screws up Sonic's sprites elsewhere causes Tails and Knuckles to UN-glitch here. Freaky. o_O - The super-3R33T Infinite Doilus Stage. Back when I played around with my Game Genie, one of my favorite things to do was visit the worlds past 7 in SMB2...Many of 'em were normal levels with the wrong world's tileset. Like the glitch on Wonn's site where you're in world 3, warp back to 1, but the graphics are still from 3... :)

The "glitch" in Rygar which allows Rygar to jump over the river! I thought this was impossible and I have died in that river... a couple of 1000 times.

the only real glitch i can remember finding was the smb1 one where you would jump over bowser at the end of any level, and you would hit the switch and get hit by bowser at the same time. this you need to time very well, but the effect is funny. if you're big, the game will show you small, but you're in fact still big, with a flower if so, and you'll get a flower, not a mushroom, etc. dont really remember other glitches

It's actually possible to finish Super Mario 64 with only 16 stars. Hold on while I look for the link to the video that shows how it's done. Edit: Ok, here's the link: http://www.otaku-universe.com/~domdunc/16stars.wmv

How exactly does he slide backwards up stairs? I have no idea. Does Wonn have that glitch on his page? I'll go check. Edit: I couldn't find it.
