• Genre: Racing
  • Uses FCEU.12
  • Manipulates Luck (to avoid the wands)
  • Aims for fastest time
Okay, I'm glad I re-did this. This version is 4 seconds faster than my previous version. The biggest differences were a better name screen, taking the shortcut on the silly maze, and taking a shortcut on the beginning of the final maze. Also I managed to squeeze more frames out of most of the other levels.

Dude. The screen couldn't even keep up with you for the first few levels. Great job. Obvious Yes vote.

Holy awesome. This looks waaaaaay better than version 2, which already looked great. And it didn't take you long to redo it! Yes from me.

No activity on this thread in a couple of weeks. It's a lot faster than the current run. I sure hope it gets published.

This movie gets a YES vote from me. It was pretty amazing that you were so fast that the screen couldn't keep up with you. Good job! I noticed that you recorded this movie with the ROM Marble Madness (U) [o1].nes. It worked fine with the ROM Marble Madness (U).nes too, I was just surprised that you recorded it with a [o1] ROM.

I downloaded a zipfile that included all derives of the ROM, and unzipped them all in one folder. That means that I have all the versions of this ROM. Then I compared the checksum for the movie with the checksum for the ROM Marble Madness (U).nes and they didn't match. Then I compared the movies checksum with the ROM Marble Madness (U) [o1].nes and they matched.

Btw, isn't there some kind of tool for nes roms since there is NSRT for snes?

Use the GoodTools, they're the standard for ROM checking. NSRT unfortunately doesn't have a NES version, so use GoodNES.

Nice. I don't know if I'd have the patience to do that much of a delicate game withouth seeing my sprite. It'll get another "yes" as soon as I can give it one.

By the way, is your ROM really named Margle Madness?

No, as I posted earlier in this thread, the name of the ROM used for this movie should be Marble Madness (U) [o1].nes. The checksum for that ROM starts with 1807. The movie works just fine with the ROM Marble Madness (U).nes too. Just make sure you're not using PAL emulation when playing the movie.

I'm really surprised by you cutting the time by 4 seconds. I would vote yes if I could. Good job.
