Huh? That's weird. It syncs fine to me... Where does it desync exactly? Are your settings the same as before?

All the way through it syncs? 9.9 x86, advanced bus-level timing, use dynamic recompiler 100?

Welp... I guess you'll have to wait. Because I found a MAJOR improvement in Mission 2, yeah TWO. I found out that you can skip talking to G and get the items without even talking to him, potentially saves like 15 to 20 seconds. Also in Mission 1 I can HUD Off to use the grappling hook faster which saves a couple of seconds................... OH NOOOOOOO I have to resync from Mission 1 & 2 all the way to Mission 8... I-I.... I can't even stress enough my frustration right now... please send help. X_X

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/22513465407372074 Ok, resyncing starts from here. Here's the bad news: It will take some time, RNG COULD be an obstacle and random desyncs in further missions can happen too. The good news is the improvements made. I saved a total of 2102 frames (34 seconds aprox.) with this run, thanks to the slight route changes, better optimization and the small HUD Off improvement in Mission 1. (I got sub-5 with this BTW :D) I'll be encoding this soon since this is a slightly different input, but here's something I want to ask to this community. Please, PLEASE post here more often, just post hype or your opinion about the run, it helps quite a bit despite what just happened yesterday... thank you! It's all good, Kurabu! I had to resync my Landstalker run a couple of times (one was near the end at a 12 minute dungeon with multiple rooms that had to be completely re-done, due to RNG) before it was all said and done. It happens! Before you know it, you'll have this re-synced up, and you & Solarplex will have this shined up and ready for the Workbench :)

Progress: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/22575675185748987 Hey solarplex... can I ask you something? Can you finish Mission 8 for me? I'm still tired for those desyncs so I don't know if you're too busy. And... can you also make an encode when you finish please? Thank you!!!

Dunno why it keeps happening but i desync around 72.5k frames in. One cause of Desyncs: make sure that you are switching between read+write and read only when you are skipping around you savestates.

Can you tell me the exact frame? The best way to resync a run is by adding a frame on the desynced frame via Notepad++. Also make sure you're playing the movie all the way through without skipping playback via savestates otherwise it will desync most of the time.

Encode: Link to video HOLY CRAP GUYS! We're so close of beating the game!!! Before starting Mission 9 I want to say some few things: -This encode^ is the last encode we're going to make before submission. -The real time this mission was beaten counting all of the improvements is 21:04.72 -Last 2 missions have a route already. -Hopefully this TAS will be on the Workbench before June. So yeah, we are on the final road! So excited, I can't believe I started this project waaaay back in 2013. Ok, solarplex, let's do this! I will give ya details about the route and microgames soon. STAY TUNED!

Progress: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/22623717153540985 Aaaaand before explaining the last 2 missions, I will explain this microgame cuz it's kinda hard to strategize. Solar, I want you to do this and take your time for it. (PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE STARTING!!!) This is called the Heads-Up 3000, this microgame in particular you have to move your teammates to 5 specific places and it kinda looks like this: Solarplex, you can make this fairly optimal. You can move each penguin and start each penguin's microgame early at a certain frame before the orange bar appears. Remember that there's only 5 places you have to do this, you don't have to do this everywhere on the map. Choose what penguin goes where and also think of using Rookie as little as possible and using just JPG and Dot instead. MG No. 1: Jet-Pack Guy's Perfect Landing Looks like this: As soon as you press on Go! You have a limited time to land (click) on the specific square. This can be done fast with presice timing on 2 clicks, and the game will detect it's beaten. MG No. 2: Disguise Dot Looks like this: This one can be done incredibly quickly by clicking the center of Dot's head/torso/feet on 1 frame, and then dragging it left or right the frame after. Left a frame blank, repeat and done. MG No. 3: Rookie's Wheel of Focus (i'm not shitting you that's how it's called) Looks like this: The hardest of the 3. I don't really know how to make this one optimal. Basically, you have to drag the arrow to make the wheel spin. You can possibly make this shorter by dragging the arrow on a very specific touch coordinates on a span of 3 frames, it will detect it's spinned correctly. BTW make sure you don't make the spinning take too long or spin too fast, otherwise it will take a while to end spinning the wheel. So..... good luck buddy! I hope you can do it! I will verify the route while you do your thing. :3
