I have been trying to figure out how to do this. Ive been looking at the FAQ's and trying to solve the code but I am pretty ignorant. I have a USB controller. It would be kind of someone to let me know what to do on the INPUT CONFIG. on the FCEU Emulator settings to do this kind of technique/glitch. Thanks.

download the CORRECT VERSION i dont use a controller so i couldnt help you there; but id imagine you just map the keys to it via input. ...i dont know what you mean about "code" though.

If you have the correct version of FCEU, you can press the left and right buttons (or the up and down buttons) at the same time and it will sometimes have strange effects on the game you are playing. Without the aforementioned version of FCEU, one direction will simply overrule the other one and nothing crazy will happen. This happens because on the NES controller, you cannot, without tampering with it, press two opposite directions at the same time. Thus, programmers sometimes did not have an express action to be performed when they are, causing weird things to happen. That is all.

I have some questions about pressing left+right on FCEU-ultra. 1. Can FCEU ultra 0.98.12-blip detect the input of left+right at the same time, or do I need the left+right version of FCEU ultra to get the left+right function to work? I mean with SNES9X you needed a certain version for the left+right function to work properly. 2. I can't seem to download the left+right version of FCEU ultra on this site ATM, perhaps it's just down temporary. Anybody knows something about this? 3. I downloaded FCEU ultra on this site some time ago, but I wasn't able to unzip it. I tried using both WinZip and WinRAR to unzip the left+right zip file, but both programs said that the file was corrupt. Should I perhaps try another program?

The original FCEU seems to ignore opposite directions coming from the keyboard (or whatever controller you use) but accepts such inputs from movie files, so a movie file made in one FCEU SHOULD work in the other. Here is a download for now: http://www.geocities.com/ryan_ferneau/fceu.zip I wasn't sure what files came with the executable, so I didn't add any.

GuanoBowl: Since you try with a controller, evidently that you probably can't press left+right unless you modify it. Try with your keyboard and it will work. :P

Thanks for the link, Bag of Magic Food. Bag of magic Food wrote:

Does this mean mean that the modified FCEU ultra (0.98.12) accepts left+right or do you need the left+right version of FCEU for that function to work?[/quote]

I mean both of them should be able to play all movies, although some folks were saying otherwise in that one topic...

All right, sorry for misunderstanding, Bag of Magic Food.
