Wow, and you could use that trick for continuous slides.

hmm.. very interesting.. Now it concerns me what levels would be more effective in using rush jet in. Gemini/Needle, or, Top/Shadow.

Ah, I see. No, showing the frame count while watching movie is very difficult in Famtasia. Basically, you need to change the movie and stop playing it. - Pause, save, load, stop. - See file size, calculate frame count (filesize - 144). To continue watching the movie, you need to restore the movie from backup and replay it from beginning. If you don't need to measure by frame precision, you can just watch the AVI and use your movie player's timing.

Likely the previous room, but I'm not sure.

Hmm.. Well.. I also had a suggestion to use Rockman 3 instead of Megaman 3, because the intro loads quicker.

Ok, The intro does load quicker. It loads 214 frames quicker then Megaman 3. So, seeing as there is nothing wrong with the first minute of Kopernicals movie, i just have to try to do the same as him, or get there at the same frame.

Or experiment a bit to see if you can actually shave off some frames, use finalfighters method around 0:47 seconds in the game and etc.

Ok, On kopernicals movie, Geminiman stage, 40 seconds in, when he slides pass the Protoman thing. Right before that, when he is sliding, somehow, he slides again. How can you stop your slide like that? ive tried pressing the opposite direction, but that makes you turn left, losing frames.

I believe pressing up stops a slide (I remember someone commenting on that), but this may only be in later games.

That only works in the Game Boy series starting with 3. In this game, you can end the slide by jumping eight frames or more after you start the slide or by turning around. (In Mega Man 6, they changed it so that A merely stops the slide as Up does on the Game Boy, and then you have to press A again to jump.) You might want to test both ways to see which is faster, since they seemed pretty close to me.

It can be done without rushjet as well. Sleepz mentioned it ealier on in this thread. i tried it out and only got it working once. is it really faster? or does shooting it cause lag?

It must be faster, because when you shoot, you can't slide during the jump. With Finalfighter's method, you're can be mostly sliding. Also, the explosions of the snake dying cause lag.

Ive started a new run. V2. So, i can see where i went wrong in V1. Ive made the selection screen 1 frame faster then my previous run so far. and on Kopernicals movie, at 1071, V1 is at 858 which is 213 frames quicker. Making my V2 214 frames quicker. This was from Just choosing Geminiman. I was 1 frame too slow in V1. EDIT. Kopernical - 1199 V1........... - 985 > 214 Quicker. V2........... - 984 > 215 Quicker.

I've been a fan of the Megaman games for a long, long time, and I had no idea they were all so broken. o_O I agree with what someone said a while ago: Change finalfighter's "Ninja" to "Crazy-Ninja." Magic Food: Ah, so I'm really getting things confused now. Thanks for the correction.
