You know, Starcraft/Brood War has a replay feature now, so theoretically, it would be possible to cook up an amazing replay file that could have all the characteristics of a tool-assisted movie. But I doubt anyone will ever be able to do that... It should definitely end in all players eliminating each others at the same time. It's possible and has happened before.

Has anyone tried to do a good run of this on normal play? Maybe we can have a compitition to see who can beat 7 computers the fastest on Big Game Hunters.

Do you allow random foe's when you play like that or do you set them all to be example terran or zerg? What rase did you play when you beat those 7 comps?

One tactic would be using terran, blocking the only entrance and put up units behind it. Any other way would be utterly hard I think.

i have done it with Zerg.. Hard to do though. You have to get Evolution chambers in front, just like supply depos, then sunks behind it. Then quickly mass Mutalisk to destoy tanks, then Guards will own all. Ive only done that once. Lost a lot trying too. I would like to see the person go against 3 terran, 2 protoss, and 2 zerg.

Isn't there a way to face the insane difficulty AI? You can't choose it normally, but I think you can use the insane AI script if you make a custom map that triggers it. It's been a while since I've played this game though...

Never heard of it, but it might be possible. It is insanely hard though to face 7 opponents at the same time and if they are all against you. It can be done but it sure isn't easy. I think I've done this with terran, closing my entrence to the base and then tanks behind and then get BC's or something that will kill loads of units fast.

I might try it also. I used to play this game loads before I went over to TAS'ing and WC3. But I'll doubt I'll survive long.

When playing maps like Big Game Hunters, the game randomly picks different AIs for each computer player. Sometimes I'd get Zerg AIs that would do nothing but create a few drones and then collect minerals for the entire round, while once I faced a Zerg AI that actually threw Defilers at me (with quite painful results). Actually getting the 'nasty' AI in gameplay seems to be based on luck...

I think this depends on what map it is and what position the race gets. If for example Zergs won't act normal in let's say 9 o' clock at BGH a terran might act as it should. I don't think this has with the AI to do in the meaning that it should be different that way. I don't remember for sure now but there isn't many different settings on the computers. Normal and maybe hard is available as far as I know. I don't know this for sure but that's what I think until someone proves me wrong.

I think the last time i tried this, it took me over an hour :|............ BUT The LONGEST 1v1 i have ever had was against a guy named FF7-Sephiroth. On the map "Fastest Possible", I was Zerg, he was Protoss. We went 3-4 hours of straight gameplay, and then we both had to quit. it was INSANE!. He had me cannoned in EVERYWHERE, and went Corsairs/Reavers/Carriers/Arbiters. I had Devourers/Guards/Hydralisk/Queens. No one was able to win. it was hardcore.

FYI, the thread over on the SDA forums can be found here The person running the levels is marshmellow, who has done a number of other notable runs (such as the first speedrun of Zelda:TWW). He changed the audio setup after recording the first few levels, so those are the only ones where you can hear his actual vocal commentary (he was using a mic instead of line-in)
