Hi guys, I'm building some new web authentication strategy, and I'd appreciate if you can help by posting results with different web browsers. Visit: http://nach.tasvideos.org/messyauth/ and report what is posted. Success would be a frame containing: "Welcome SuperUser! Your password is: CutePass" If the first test fails, please report which browser you used, and what the error was. Then please retest with http://nach.nachsoftware.org/messyauth/ and see if you get different results. Sample results: Firefox 10: "Welcome SuperUser! Your password is: CutePass" Chromium 34: "Welcome SuperUser! Your password is: CutePass" Opera 12.16: "HTTP 401" for both URLs (however, if pressing submit, it says: "Welcome SuperUser! Your password is:"). If you have access to a cell phone, tablet, set top box, video game console, please post results with those too. Thank you!

Internet Explorer 11: "Welcome SuperUser! Your password is: CutePass" Edit: iPhone Safari: Link 1: "Welcome SuperUser! Your password is: CutePass" Link 2: "HTTP Status 0" and then it randomly works....

You made me curious, what are you trying to do? Anyway, works as expected on my 3DS and SeaMonkey/2.25.

Many newer browsers no longer allow third party cookies. This becomes a major issue when you have an application which is meant to be used in a frame, and you need some kind of way for the user to remain logged in. So I'm testing an alternative which I know can work with authentication propagation between different sites.

All of these browsers are the latest versions as of this post: Firefox 28 x86: OK Internet Explorer 11 x86: OK Android Chrome 34.0.1847.114: OK Android Firefox 28.0.1: OK Wii Internet (Opera) 9.30: Prompts for a username and password with a dialog box with "nach.nachsoftware.org:80" at the top. Providing the correct credentials causes the browser to correctly display the frame; canceling the box leads to a page with "HTTP 401" text. The second link you provided (nach.nachsoftware.org) works just fine though.

I just made an important improvement. If it failed before, please test again and let me know if it's fixed.

I still get the same result in the Wii Internet Browser, though I'm not sure if the result I get counts as failure.

Firefox 15.0.1 works fine Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702 doesn’t work. “Loading…” forever for both links, even in “compatibility mode” or whatever that IE thing is
