Actually, here in Québec, we use the metric system in everything, except for height. That's weird ... I know ... but don't blame me!

A quarter of an inch, like 1/4" maybe? EDIT: Oh and to answer the question in the topic I'm something like 1,70 meters tall.

I don't see a point in it either, hence why I haven't answered.

Powers of two. I already mentioned and gave examples in my Imperial System explanation post.

So, 4 inches to the hand, 3 hands to the foot, 3 feet to the yard, 5½ yards to the rod, 4 rods to the chain, 10 chains to the furlong, 8 furlongs to the mile, 3 miles to the league.

Order of magnitude error. Add another zero in there somewhere after the decimal point.

Oh yeah? Well I'm 0.0000000000000000617367921 Parsecs tall! And 0.00000000000000000000000190500 yottameters! And 1905000000000000000000000 yoctometers! Maybe this will help - in a vacuum, light will travel a distance equal to my height in 0.00000000635439601 seconds.

Why should I? Dan_ has some advanced mathematical thingy as a signature, I think that he made correct calculations.

Maybe it's spoofing all those "How old are you?" topics you always see on message boards. Anyway, you're not getting my personal information just by asking politely! NYAH!

Will it work if we try NOT being polite?

Yeah, I've been meaning to ask you, why the Euler equation, dan?

Why not? You're supposed to put something meaningful in your signature, so I figured the 5 most important numbers in all mathematics would be pretty meaningful. What better way to put the said 5 numbers in a signature than by using an equation that involves them all? And besides, it's just a cool equation :P

I can't see what it says: e^?Pi + 1 = 0 Well I can calculate and get the answer or you can tell me. Oh holy sh*t, I'm going nuts. Have I forgoten all from school or what. You must be able to take (log -1 /log e) / Pi, but first of all, you can't take log -1, and how could e^something be -1 ? Can you even take e^x don't you say ex?

That thing next to pi is an i, the imaginary number. That equation is an extension of the basis of imaginary exponents, the formula e^(xi) = cos(x) + isin(x) if we're in radians. Check here for some clarification (that page isn't as good as another one I know of but it seems to be down :( ).
