Hi there, I am trying to record some high resolution footage of NES but I can't seem to work out how get higher resolution videos. I stumbled across this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fo3mPxv5Kg4 yet when using any NES emulator .AVI export using uncompressed settings I get this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6a3HJDYzhSQ Sorry to ask such a noob question. Have I missed something fairly basic? I would greatly appreciate any support. Thank you.

Short answer: Resize your video to larger dimensions using a point filter (aka nearest neighbor) resize after recording it and before uploading. Long answer: Check out our encoding howtos, they cover the "HD Method" and other such stuffs.

Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
