If I wanna see if a Super Mario World (NTSC-U) ROM is clean, I can just go to this link and verify. Is it possible to make the same procedure for a generic game? For instance, I have two images of Crash Team Racing (NTSC-U) which are almost equal, except for a few bytes. Do I have to compare my file with the majority or is there any standard?

For games stored on optical discs (like PSX, as you mentioned), redump.org has information (MD5, file size, etc.) on what a perfect dump should match. I'm not sure where to find that information for cartridge-based games though.

The set of good tools are for that purpose, the tool will name your ROM in such a way they will have a (B) if it's a bad dump or (O) for overdump etc..

The NoIntro sets are better than GoodX, but they don't cover all systems afaik.
