Veni, vidi, vici. This movie is 1 frame faster than Arc's latest submission for a total of 4667 frames. Normally, it should be 2 frames faster since I did 1 frame faster at stage 2 but due to some stupid 11 frames rule it cancels that advance.

At least this one came in before the new improved run got published. I vote Yes. I love the fact that it "plays with death."

I don't know that diagonal barrel was requested in the movie but I need that barrel to get a good random. ;)

oh, i just meant its one of the things that made it differ from the original (A) mode according to a FAQ. that, along with quicker enemies. still, was nice to see.

Since Arc's latest submission hadn't been published yet, I'm compelled to vote yes. One frame isn't much of an improvement, but it seems to me like it's impossible to squeeze any more off this game. Of course, someone is just bound to make a 1-frame-shorter movie after this one gets published.

Well, if someone can do 1 frame faster at stage 2, it will be 2 frames faster than this.

I might be up to the challenge... But don't hold publishing off, I'm working on other things right now. >.> This run is silly!

Honestly, I don't see the charm with running this game. I really don't. I'd prefer the movie of it being deleted and all submissions automatically rejected. Watching it isn't fun, there are no tricks or anything, it can be reproduced within seconds by regular playing, any new run is bound to look exactly the same... I'm withholding voting, I think. Voting no as I would have done otherwise seems pointless until the version which is up now is removed.

I must disagree. I think this is the most entertaining of the Donkey Kong submissions so far. In the currently published run, most of the barrels don't come anywhere close to Mario because it's been manipulated to prevent him from having to jump. This run shows Mario coming within pixels from death on several occasions. This is the first one that I would actually call entertaining. The "plays with death" theme makes it worth it. It's 23 frames faster than the published run, and it's much more fun to watch.

I should mention that I haven't watched this movie yet. I don't know if I will. It's just that having seen the other submissions of this game, I've come to the conclusion that it's a monumetally bad choice for a speedrun, for the reasons listed above. This one is probably better than the previous version as you said, but that isn't saying a lot.

In fact, if you want to beat me, you need to do 3 frames faster at stage 2 and you'll be 11 frames faster.
