NintendoAge made their own competition compilation of five homebrew games. Similar to the Nintendo World Championships, with a goal of getting the highest score, this is something worth checking out.. Seagull's Revenge - hit everyone - maximum score possible in fastest time. 99,300 points. Slappin' Bitches - defend tower - 75 kills in fastest time possible. 999,000 points, 1,098,300 total. Chunkout 2 - clear level - clear the entire board and get highest score possible. NES Virus Cleaner - get viruses - clear the level in the fastest time. luck manipulation appreciated. 280,000 points. Ultimate Frogger - score big! - use the time that's remaining and get the maximum total score of 9,999,900 points. scoring: Seagull's Revenge score x 100 Slappin' Bitches score x 1000 Chunkout 2 score x 1 NES Virus Cleaner score x 10 Ultimate Frogger score x 100 TAS time: 5'19"20 Competition Time: 6'15"50 It is possible to score over 3,000,000 points in real time. It would take about 3 1/2 minutes to get to Ultimate Frogger, but a TAS will take less than 2 minutes to get there, leaving 3'30"00 on the clock. Here is a sample.

I made a 107 frame improvement on Slappin' Bitches, improved the score on Chunkout 2, but still needs work. lost a few frames manipulating the second virus, but made a shortcut to improve on NES Virus Cleaner. By the time you're done with Chunkout 2 may affect how fast NES Virus Cleaner can be done. Improvement here.

This is revision 5? The newest revision (release version) I think is 9.1 -- it changes Slappin' Bitches to start on a higher wave, 50 kills, score x2000, double score for "prefect" as well as other more minor things. But beyond that, I know (have seen) it's possible to get 800,000+ on chunkout. Usually this would be a tradeoff because taking your time in chunkout steals time from frogger, but for a TAS this shouldn't be a problem. (Some revisions don't actually have random chunkout boards because they accidentally had it get the seed after generating the playfield.) IIRC the clear bonus for chunkout is very high.
