The game has a few levels which are different long.
I manipulated a level which can be finished very fast, cause of dull hitbox detection.
There's nothing for the site to gain from publishing this particular TAS. Instead, there's quite some reputation to lose.
It's not about censorship. It's about being practical. (That's what "pragmatic" means.)
There's a rather big difference between artistic nudity and outright explicit porn.
Maybe Nintendo is more strict than others, but all recent consoles have censorship on games.
(Even PC has de-facto censorship on games: ESRB AO => De-facto banned.)
I absolutely agree that this game is nothing more than garbage, but that's not my point. The only problem I have is, that nudity is seen as more offensive than violence, not only on this site but generally.
Maybe it's because I'm from Europe, which isn't very restrictive with showing nudity on TV or in movies. If a game or movie gets banned, it's always because of violence. It's similiar to how europeans can't understand why there's so much censorship in america with swearing, while they don't understand our problem with blood and gore.
Well, if Atari porn can't be published here, we're not missing much. But the topic will come up again, when TASes of good games with nudity get submitted.
Current project: Gex 3 any%
Paused: Gex 64 any%
There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.
I don't think the problem is so much that it contains nudity as that it's a blatant shock title, and I think it'd make more sense to aim any sort of rule change at either shock titles or unlicensed titles in general (similar to the existing policy on hacks).
No no, I'm not talking about systems, sales or anything remotely involving the so-called "console wars" ( honestly, that annoys and bores me). I have a Wii, a DS, hell, I even had a Gamecube! I'm talking about how Nintendo deals with censorship, and in this aspect Nintendo is a joke. See how "Binding of Isaac" was banned from Nintendo games due to "religious content" (and, when I read that news, I was informed that this game was kinda about religion).
And I'm not talking about videogames as art, there's a lot of discussion about this, and I believe only time will tell if videogames are art or not. I'm talking about TAS being made and named as art. If you're trying to make art, you must not close your mind for simple things as very blocky nudity.
No, it is about censorship. That's not the first time this topic appears that was banned from the site for containing nudity. Unfortunately, this appeared again in a really shitty game. If someone tries to TAS one of the thousands of QIX pornographic clones, it'll be banned as well. And they HAVE some gameplay (I actually like QIX)
In that case, wouldn't be better to have one of that "age checkers"?
... As you can see, I really get mad when I see censorship. One of the easiest ways to piss me off.
again, "unlicensed titles" is a slippery slope. You'll lose games from Tengen, Codemasters, Atari's Activision games...

that's a interesting conundrum. If you look at her bobs, you'll be sexist and rude. If you look at her face, you'll transform in stone

I don't believe the "nudity" part is the reason to not have it on the site.
The hardcore sex act, on the other hand, is the reason to not have it on the site.
You posted the Venus Di Milo... she isn't getting rammed from behind by the Statue of David.
Secondly, tasvideos is a private entity, and thus it is at the discretion of the owners as to what sorts of material they wish to have on the site. People whine about free speech and freedom of expression all the damn time on private forums. Free speech exists in the public sector - you can still get kicked out of a bar if the owners don't like you saying racial epitaphs. Likewise, if a museum finds your art objectionable, they do not have to display it.
As has been said in the past, it is pragmatic to draw a line of acceptable content. This isn't a porn site, there are plenty available on the internet.
Sage advice from a friend of Jim: So put your tinfoil hat back in the closet, open your eyes to the truth, and realize that the government is in fact causing austismal cancer with it's 9/11 fluoride vaccinations of your water supply.

I believe you're being way too generous to call the act as "hardcore porn", since how primitive and immature this is. That's basically what Atari Porn is, someone with 16 years old amusing himself with his abilities of drawing something that kinda looks like a dick.
But my point still stands.
And the fact that the site is a private entity does not changes that censoring porn is censorship, at all.
About kicking someone of a bar for racial epigram is not censorship, since racial epigrams are against the law (at least here).
And you can always censor the encode...

OmegaWatcher, do you really want TASVideos to be known for publishing Tool-Assisted Porn?
There are many full-fledged games containing pornography that would be very interesting to see a TAS of, but due to licensing requirements, they're pretty much all PC and out of current TAS scope. If/When TASing actually reaches that level, I suspect that the question will get a lot more interesting.

I'm not aware of that. Are those games played solely for their porn content or is there actual gameplay involved?

Censorship stops being censorship if it's made illegal? I fail to see the rationale in that.
If someone is doing something against the law (openly thrashing other races, for example) in your bar and you kick them, that's not really censorship.

And assuming you're talking about the US, they're not illegal.
They're not protected speech.
There is a difference.
Ok, I'm not american. Can you please tell me the difference? I'm really serious.

What? Why are you grabing at straws here?
I'd rather have a Tool-Assisted Porn than a Tool-Assisted Censorship.
And... Yeah, I'd like to see a Tool-Assisted Porn. Would be probably amazing.

What the hell just happened in this thread.
It Warped.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
On the subject of censorship, there is nudity on Dailymotion and on Deviantart. We should ban anyone who posts links to those sites.
Deviantart seems to be popular in the MLP thread.
