The
"idiot trick" you maybe meant consists of a first frame wall-kick (see above) [[and maybe a very hard to pull off jump dive, not sure at all]]. -> Forget about it. ;-) If you mean sth else: the idiot trick 'only' saves up to 5 sec, so the best alternative is to unlock the wing cap before doing this star. I know all this from Sig's commentary.
