That game is for babies. Let's see this game: Link to video Get a remake/re-release. It's so hard, it tells Smash TV fans to run away after the first level. Collect 220 keys to enter the pleasure domes. You also need to kill the last boss. Plenty of bonus levels, warps and more crazy then Smash TV could ever be. Games are too soft these days.
When TAS does Quake 1, SDA will declare war. The Prince doth arrive he doth please.

The Workbench at the moment even clearly illustrates it. Super Metroid has you running around all confused, Metroid Fusion has you being told exactly where to go, and you don't have much of a choice in the matter. Super Metroid only has 12 energy tanks, Metroid Fusion gives you 20, because you're a weakling and all, and need a major crutch. Not to mention the dozens of power bombs that game has...

What bothers me about these new games is how they have to tell people how to play the game every 5 minutes like I am going to miraculously forget. The AI is also pathetic on even the hardest difficulty, and they don't stop my progression of the slightest. I sometimes purposely handicap myself just to get a better challenge. Something on the level of difficulty of Smash TV or Total Carnage would be a blessing.

I think we've all done that, even back in the day... Like in Mega Man X, have a friend with a stopwatch, and the rule that you're not allow to go 4 seconds touching the floor (and jumping doesn't count), so you need to mostly travel by sticking to the sides of things.

For some games, it actually feels more like AS (Artificial Stupidity). :P

Among other games I would like to see remade would be Rolling Thunder. The third one for Genesis on Hard mode was brutal where everything can kill you in one shot and grenades/melee in two. It's enforcing the player to choose the right weapons was good too.
