Is it in bad conscience to pretend the emulation bug that auto-completes the Serena Beach level doesn't happen and just complete the level like batora does? He clearly made it within the time limit and talked to the guy at the right time like he should when cleaning everything. If that isn't something that can be hand waved, would it be impossible to simply use the same input that was used to complete the bugged level to complete the level again when the emulator can properly display it?

If you make sure it'll sync, or would sync if the bug wasn't there, i don't see why that would be a problem. Also, wasn't this fixed?

I haven't heard that it has been, unless it was fixed within the last 5 days. But hey, thanks for answering :) Knowing if it would sync in the future is sort of impossible so I guess it's a waiting game still...

This should save about 25 frames http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyLqIV0RoD8 But I can't reproduce this, on console nor on emulator. Needs more testing

There's a glitch at the end of this freerun that could possible be helpful. This is the USA version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1S8wwTML31Y

I'm actualy working with the fruit because I did clip in once but it required like three pieces of fruit because I suck at the glitch but I did mangage to do it. In Episode 1. I would recomend using the Banana because it probably has the best chance of working.

If you have a hard time doing it, maybe you can post some steps on how you did it WITHOUT yoshi?

You sort of have three peices of fruit in an enclosed triangle by where the shine is. Have you even seen the other fruit clips it's sort of like that. I haven't tried it with just one piece of fruit.

I'll get it up sometime this months because it took about 6 hours till it worked. And plus I'm goin' on vacation this week so I promise I'll try. But what you do is you take a coconut or what ever the hell that green things are. and you set them as close as possible as you can next to the guy by the shine and you need to ground pound behind the guy then talk to him and if you lucky, and I mean really lucky, when you're talking to you he'll push you back into the area where the shine is and you can collect the shine.

Well, I've found a problem already. The only pieces of fruit in Episode 1 are two coconuts on a tree. There is no third coconut nor are there any bananas. I've tried clipping with the coconuts multiple times but no luck so far; I'll continue trying and let you guys know.

I'm going to stop trying for now. I leave home on Sunday for summer courses so unless I somehow get access to Sunshine there I won't be playing it much. My mom also misplaced my camcorder when cleaning my room, so I don't have a recording device either :(. I might try this again tomorrow.

Besides half of the things done in TAS arent possible in RL. It's possible I've done it once. Again it took me like 7 hours till it worked and like 123434312 coconuts.

I believe you. I'm still wondering how you got a third coconut. I looked everywhere in Episode 1 and was able to find only two.

I would like to have some kind of image that shows the set-up because I'm not keen on spending hours on this with a wrong set-up...

What I did was put a coconut on each side of him as close as possible, or at least very close. I was very close to clipping in a few times after talking to him, but I'm pretty sure that with proper positioning you can get the coconuts to push you through. I'll try and get a picture of my own setup later today.

Wait, I think I know what you're trying to say. Let me take and upload a screenshot from dolphin to confirm it. Edit: Is is like this, but with the coconuts closer?

Ya that basicly it, the point is that the game doesn't force you out when you go behind him. And if we can't get it to work I suggest we don't waste on something that has a 1 out of like 123456789 of actualy working and. Or you could possible to throw the fruit like behind him. it might take a while but it a better chance.
