Okey, if someone remember a time back ago....I was asking about making a movie (avi) from snes9x. Heh of course I didn't have the latest version one....so it was piece of cake later. I have now made a SMB3 (Snes version) movie....a timeattck movie where I havn't use a single slow, speed, savestats. Cuase i didnt think about it....I have insteed made 16 smv files for like on smv for one track.. :] And put all that together in one movie. And very soon I was thinking to share it here on the forum and see what you people think. :-> But I have 2 problems before I can do it.... the first is the size of the movie....I have done everthing exactly as the bisqwit says on the site....I think when you gonna make calc on 2:nd pass (xvid)....on top of all options there; it says there as standard something like 660 000 something :) And I belive that that is the key of the size... 3mb per minute.....soooo what should I write there?????? AND here is now the BIG problem.... : An Intro for my own movie. In simple way I have made a bmp. image .... but I cant get it together with the 16 originals @ 60fps, uncrompressed, 24 bit, 256*224. And the intro file has also 60fps, 24bit, uncrompressed, 256*224. So whay cant I put all these together? In Virtdub it says "Cannot append segment bla bla : The video streams have diffrent data formats". What this means?? And if and when I make this work.....I'll change the resize to 320*240 so it will cover "all over the screen"....before I'll make XviD compression. Size problem and Intro problem.....have YOU the answer?
Can you dig' it???

I think this should be in the off topic section or something. But anyways. I think you have to render your BMP files into an AVI file, using the same settings as for your full length movie. Otherwise there are a bunch of other programs that can make that. www.digital-digest.com can probably help out more. I use Roxio VideoWave 7 right now and it has worked pretty good I must say.

You can also use the avimerge program from transcode to join two AVI files together. They need to have the same resolution, FPS and codec though. As for resizing, I really don't recommend resizing the movie to 320x240 before encoding. It'll just introduce noise and eat quality. The player can resize the AVI anyway. What you probably are looking for is aspect ratio correction. In MEncoder, aspect ratio of MPEG4 movies can be specified as an integer ratio directly to the AVI file. It is a much better solution than prescaling the movie.

It was just the program BMPtoAVi I was using to make my intro movie....and thtas so wierd when all my 17 orginals movies (not 16) and my intro had the same fps, bits, uncrompressed and all. Even the same name with 01, 02, 03 etc. So the Virtdub could add all these segments to one movie file. But it cant......the only thing that my 17 movie files have and my intro movie dont...is sound....could that matters??? OR Virtdub sucks =) But i will check the other programs....and maybe avimerge can fix this. Thx for the tips!! Oh, and hey....I am also now making my sec. timeattack movie....I am up for Super Mario now in beginning....so now it is SMB-World....& same here....noo savestats. =)

Just a friendly advice..... can you cut down the .....s.... please? It's easier to read when it's coherently structured instead of looking like a choppy radio transmission.

You say that this work pretty good for making snes movies.... but how good? Is it like Great or perfect or just good. And can I make a movie from other movies with diffrent FPS, codec etc.? I was thninking to get this program.....it seems to be a great program for both Sound/video edit.
