I would have to say it was this one: Mega Man 2 by Morimoto. Or perhaps a long time ago people were dying for this movie: http://tracker.tasvideos.org/zelda-timeattack-sleepzteam.avi.torrent Although I can't seem to find the movie # for it.

To add some other nominees... Boco was questioned for months about the new Zelda 2 movie (that I eventually made, with her assistance.) #185 Sleepz' Kid Icarus was one of the last of the major NES classics done. #47 There hadn't been a full run of Excitebike until FODA did it recently. #297 There also hadn't been a full Mike Tyson movie until G&P's. #229

I agree with Rockman 2 and Zelda 2. I'd also like to mention Sleepz's Zelda. The planning involved with that was crazy, and I was following it constantly.

Zoizite: thanks for finding the link to it, how did you find it? The best I could come up with was the torrent to the movie.

And VOTE! Arc: I didn't put in 3 of your nominated movies since although they weren't done till then, nobody was really anticipating them. The 3 movies you can vote for are clear they were highly anticipated by the sheer number of posts asking about them and discussing them before they were published.

Definitely Mega Man 2. If people were willing enough to track him down and post relentlessly on his message board, I think that says something. The only movie that would have come close in my mind would have been Legacy of the Wizard.
