I'd have to nominate Castlevania by Phil and Genisto, this is an extremely entertaining movie, one that other movies should be measured by. http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?id=3 Edit: I'm also going to have to add River City Ransom by SleepZ. Not the best run, but "Beware of the trashcan" had me rolling. http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?id=37 Edit: Totally forgot about Bionic Commando. Extremely entertaining movie, I don't think it gets boring for a second. http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?id=268

Bionic Commando for me. Rockman 1&2, both Rygar runs, SMB2...those are up there too. -Josh
but then you take my 75 perchance chance of winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and then add 66 and two-thirds ch...percents...i got a 141 and two-thirds chance of winning at sacrifice

Bisqwit's Rockman run. Probably my favorite run on this site. Morimoto and FinalFighter's Rockman 2 run. Sleepz's Super Mario Brothers 2 run.

I think Morimoto's Gradius movie is still the most entertaining NES movie on the site. Although the fact that it is a scroller seems to hinder it a bit, the level of gameplay is spectacular. Also, the good balance of showing off and actually getting some things done is incredible.

I second River City Ransom, and I also nominate Phil and Genisto's Battletoads run.

Super Mario Bros Warpless in 18:58 by Phil Côté and Jean-François They did 2 version of those. Probably I am talking about 18:58 version, in which Phil & Genisto aims for 100% Kill. It's really awesome to watch. I can't forget it. OmnipotentEntity also nominated it. wahh. 2 Votes.

I didn't see my 1 item run nominated. Arc nominated my 100% run, not the 1 item. =P

I think I'll nominate Teowind's Mr. Gimmick movie because it is a hard game to play, but he makes it look interesting with all the slopes and star-bouncing tricks! Plus it has a good soundtrack.

I would say these 2 movies: http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?id=44 = NES Prince of Persia (USA) in 16:39 by Gavin Ward (aka. SprintGod). & NES Super Mario Bros 3 (Japan) in 1:17:41 by トクシン (aka. Tokushin). Man, This SMB3 Warpless is breathtaking!!!
Can you dig' it???

I really have to object to SMB3 warpless. SMB3 warpless was down right lousy. Why get hurt at the end of each level? Why not take more optimal routes in many places? Just seeing how bad this person played some of the game, and being so obvious about it is enough to make someone want to vomit.

Why get hurt at the end of each level? One of the objectives was to start and end each level as small Mario.

I think enought people would object to the Tokushin video for it to not be accepted as a candidate. Or we could have it but noone would vote for it.

It was boring to watch. Too many errors. ANd start as small mario and finish as small mario is a stupid goal in my opinion.

But it provides the best challenge, because what if you're stuck in the middle of the game and you ran out of power-ups? You could watch the video to see how it should be done!

I think it would have made more sense if he stayed small mario for the whole game instead of collecting powerups just to lose them a few seconds later.
